It is a brushed motor but they are not replaceable as the motor is a single replacement unit,

What bits do you use for this? i bought makita a-98348 50 piece impactx driver bit set but the bits don't fit.

Regular 1/4 inch screw bits. The Makita gold impact bits are the best in my opinion. I use this tool daily at work and can 100% vouch for its quality.

Can the impact driver function be turned off?
