Excellent All-Around RC
The Good: Huge...bigger than my GOM which I thought was big for a 1/10. Wheelbase is about the same but the body is wider, the tires are bigger, and it just has more 'presence'. Stock paint scheme is okay, stickers are placed well. The Bad: Radio is kinda garbage. It's Spektrum but it has only the bare minimum. Has steering and throttle trim but no range adjustment. The steering servo arm was factory mounted off-center, requiring all of my trim to get it not quite centered. From what I hear I'll be replacing it soon anyway so I'm living with it for now.Not THAT bad, BUT - in the snow/ice it can end up in 1-wheel drive since center and front diffs are not locked. Rear diff appears to be locked. Will probably add some thicker center diff lube when I finally do end up tearing it down. The Ugly: Service is a pain...not looking forward to repairs as there are dozens of screws and washers to keep track of just to get the panels off. I will say, however, that this is probably also the reason it holds up so well. Conclusion: It does everything I want it to do and I'm very happy overall.

Best Basher for the money...it's a beast!
So my last experience with RC was with the old Traxis T-Maxx maybe 20yrs or so ago lol...I got the Losi Baja Rey to have something to play with my son...and WoW! This thing is a BEAST!With 3s Lipo it takes a beating and you almost have to try to break it! Gotta watch it on asphalt sheared the screw heads right off the rear differential...but that's my fault playing with punch settings and trying to pop wheelies...but even the repairs are enjoyable as it's so much like working on my Jeep just miniature. :-)My son and I enjoy the rebuilds as much as the bashing...he's 13 went with a Arrma Senton 3s because it's fast but it's nothing like the Losi Rock Rey! The RR is way better! ;-)Start off with a Spektrum charger and Spektrum Lipo Batteries...the Spektrum batteries automatically set the charging parameters you just have to plug them in and hit start...the batteries will also automatically discharge to a proper storage charge after a few days...I didn't really understand how different Lipo Batteries are from the Nicads and how dangerous they can be if charged improperly. Like blow up and burn your house down dangerous...my son's car we got a multi charger and if you don't select the right settings or charging mode bad things happen...not something you can just leave upto a child...just saying. But with the Spektrum stuff it's whole lot safer IMHO :-)

A lot of fun to drive on the rocks, but seems to break the front end frequently...
The scale look of this vehicle is what drew me to it. I love the suspension, it looks and works great. The complaints about the turning are valid, this rig will tip very easily if you try to turn too hard or fast.I have had a major problem with my front shocks breaking (I'm on my 4th set of shocks), broke an A-arm and now the steering linkage. Luckily parts so far are cheap, so I keep fixing it. I drive using a 2s Lipo so not fully powered, and I do mainly drive on the large river rock shown.I love the looks of the rig, but wish it would hold up better.

Great Truck
Great truck. Super fast when you use a 3s battery. Not really a crawler, but you can run trails once you get used to the steering.

It's a BEAST!!
Love this truck, I bash it all over the yard running up trees and jumping off a rock pile, it's built tough and rugged although some of the pieces are plastic that should be metal but so far I've only managed to break a steering Knuckle and loose a drive pinJust doing an update, after several months with this truck I've ended up replacing both steering knuckles and the rear driveshaft with metal replacements, the plastic knuckles broke fairly easily (3s at full speed into a stump), the driveshaft was BC I needed a new screw BC the factory installed one vibrated loose and got flung while It was in motion

Great if you want to fix it after each use
You will spend about 90% of your time repairing this vehicle, unable to find parts, and breaking down on every run. I purchased two, both had shocks snap, servo go out, and the esc in one went out. Wheel hex screw stripped just trying to remove and had to replace whole piece because I could not get it off. You will need to replace every screw in the vehicle because the stock ones strip out. Local hobby stores do not have the parts.

No turn
The car itself is impressive, the size the detail all very nice. It’s fast but it does roll over a lot. I don’t like the fact that you have to get an adapter for the battery and don’t like the battery compartment it’s a pain to install the battery. My biggest issue is the steering, one can make a right turn circles in 3 feet diameter but to make a left turn one needs 8 feet, after talking to some one at the manufacture they suggested to upgrade the servo, really after spending over $400.00, this thing should be 100 percent perfect out of box. I have cheaper RCs the run and work much better than this one, thank you Amazon for your return policy, because this thing is going back home to mama.
