Q: Will it fit the HL-2270dw wireless?

A search on the Brother-UK website reveals "Supplies & accessories for HL-2270DW Mono Laser Printer + Duplex, Network, Wireless" include TN2210 (standard capacity), TN2220 (high capacity), and DR2200 (drum unit). Where ordinarily drum units should be changed every 10 replacements at standard capacity, it is every 5 for high capacity units. Toner replacements are recognised by the printer, replacement drum units need to be updated manually (see instructions for your printer at Brother-UK website). Whilst you get low-ink warnings the only indication of (usually, premature) drum failure is poor print quality. Be v.v. careful dealing with paper jams if you want drum units to go the full distance. Yes, Brother toner is water resistant. The printing paper will tear first before anything happens to the ink. Try taking it into the shower for a test.

Q: Are these genuine cartridges please

The one I received at the beginning of the year came in Brither packaging and was recognised by the printer as a Brother toner cartridge. It prints fine, just the same as the original. I have no reason to believe that this was other than an original Brother product.

Q: What's the approximate shelf life of this toner when stored for later use?

I have kept these for literally years. They do not dry up. The toner is actually dry particles and does not seem to be affected by time at all.
