Wouldn't want any other pad for my DeWalt sander.
I'm not sure why, but in the picture it only says it's compatible with the DW421; However, when I got mine it had 3 others listed as well (Check the Picture)This replacement will fit: DW421, DW423, D26451, D26453I bought this for my Dewalt Sander model D26451. I've had this sander for over 4 years and it has taken every project I've thrown at it and done a fantastic job. I love my sander, but recently I've been going through tons of pads working on the kitchen table I'm building and to my dismay the pads started flying off while I was sanding. Quickly, I realized the eye-hooks on the sander pad were worn down and the tips were almost all melted off from years of hard work. Two options, spend 60 bucks and buy a new sander, or spend about 20 bucks and buy a new pad for my loyal trustworthy sander. Amazon made the choice easy for me by carrying the exact DeWalt replacement that I needed. One thing that I noticed is that Home Depot or Lowes don't even carry this replacement pad any more at my local shops, or on the Home Depot Website. That is disappointing because I personally think this DeWalt sander is great and I didn't want to have to get a new one.Props to Amazon for having the part that I needed when even the hardware stores didn't.Second, I remember when Home Depot used to carry this and the pricing was about the same. Since Amazon was my only option for buying this part, it seems pricey, but at least they have exactly what I want.I received this part in two days from Amazon Prime, and was back at work sanding away at my table in no time, and my sander works just like it did when I bought it four years ago.

Now I have a like-new sander
For weeks I just thought I had a bad couple of sanding discs as they would attach seemingly "tight" at first but then start to fall/spin off in just minutes of use. I did inspect my sanding pad to see if the pad was full of glue or dust or something but I couldn't see any discernible damage or cause for the lack of connection. However, on a whim, I decided to research a new pad for the sander and ended up purchasing this one. I didn't look up my sander model number, it just "looked like mine" so I went with it. When it arrived, it installed quick and was certainly an exact replacement, however I was initially disappointed. Why?? I don't have the best eyesight, but I could hardly see any difference between the surface of my old pad vs. this new pad. Without memory of how my sander pad looked brand new, I thought I would see tons of obvious spikes ready to grab the sanding pads, but it looked almost identical to my worn down pad. However, WOW what a difference!! Those same old discs that shot off from the old worn out pad now stick like glue to this new one. I can hardly see a difference, but the actual application and use is beyond obvious and functional. I would buy another one next time the pad wears out. FWIW I probably used my sander for about 30 minutes a day 7 days a week for two years before the original sander pad wore out to the point I had to buy this new replacement one. I hope this one lasts that long too.

Buyer beware -- this does NOT fit the current models with FOUR screws.
Buyer beware -- this does NOT fit the current models with FOUR screws. Wish I'd opened this box within the return window, but I bought it in advance and didn't realize DW423 and DW6e423 attached using different numbers of screws.

OEM so High Quality
I had to get a job done and didn't have time to mess around trying a cheap third-party knockoff so I went with the OEM version of Dewalt's Orbital Sander Pad. Not disappointed. If this replacement lasts as long as the original pad it's replacing, then I'm happy with the slightly higher price.

Exactly what I needed!
This was a direct replacement for my sander. The old one lasted close to 10 years and it just sort of fell apart. I'm hoping this one will last just as long!

New life for my old sander
My sandpaper discs were literally flying off my sander like a frisbee. I was resigned to purchasing a new sander - but I hated replacing the whole unit when the only problem was the hook&loop. This product solved my problem perfectly. It was easy to install and now it takes some real elbow grease to get san paper off of the disc. I recommend this solution.

Fits DeWalt D26451 Sander
Installed on: DeWalt D26451 random orbit 5-inch/8-hole palm sander.Fits perfectly! Just removed the three very tightly driven screws holding the old worn-out pad in place, lifted off the old pad, and installed this in its place. The screws need a T-20 torx head screwdriver OR a flat-blade screwdriver to screw and unscrew them; it's not easy to see the flat-blade notch cut in the screw head until you remove them. Couldn't have been simpler. The Velcro on the new pad holds my sanding discs as tightly as the original pad, and the foam pad feels stiffer/tougher than the original. Now I'm ready to continue my project.
