If you have a Sportube and you need to secure it to roof racks, then this is a necessary product. The clasps are well constructed and I feel confident that they won’t loosen up on a long trip. But – I always apply extra knots after the clasp just as a backup.

measure the length you need!
really cheap, very short. I got these to tie down a stand up paddle to a roof rack - and ten feet just doesn't make it with doubling. I ended up threading the strap all the way through and tying it in a knot the other end. I will have to buy longer straps. Also I will be looking for a strap with a rubber bottom to protect the board.

A good solution, but perhaps not the entire solution
I just used these to secure a Sportube to my roof rack for a 10 hour road trip. The main concern was tying the straps to prevent lateral movement. On the way back, I didn't tie them optimally, and the tube got diagonal on the roof so that the front of the tube was sticking out over the side of the car. I don't think it was going to come off the car, but it still alarmed me, and I had to stop to retie it.I think that next time I attach the straps, I will use bungee cords as well to ensure the tube stays oriented properly.

Not long enough
These straps are supposed to be designed specifically to tie the sportube to roof racks, but they aren't nearly long enough for any but the shortest runs.

To short
Straps are to short to mount on roof rack - suggest ordering 2 sets or other tie downs

Good qulaity.
Always used metal clamps on my roof rack, so was concerned that this time I needed to use fabric Tie Downs. I needn't have worried. The fabric clamp is strong and substantial and the ski tube stayed put all the way to and from Italy.

They work
Bought these to secure bicycles to camping trailer. They are long enough, strong, with buckles which are simple to use and effective. Good product.

des sangles spécifiques pour coffre de toit qui ne sont pas assez longues pour faire le tour du dit coffre, ça ne sert pas à grand chose. Alors à moins que votre coffre de toit soit tout petit, fuyez ce produit inutile!
