Will it work on an adjustable base bed?

I have a split adjustable bed king. (Two twin cl mattresses). Yes, it will work, however, I had to nip a couple of little holes (unnoticeable because it’s iver the mattress part) to allow for the bar at the foot of the bed that keeps the mattresses from slipping down.

My bed frame has velcro around the inside. could i attach velcro to this product easily?
