Perky-PetPanorama Bird Feeder

This bird feeder is well designed and well made. Unfortunately it ended up attracting larger birds (e.g., crows) the smaller feeders did not attract. It dispenses the seeds freely and there is ample space for multiple birds to feed. I noticed the smaller birds tended to feed from the top level whereas the larger birds tended to go to bottom level. I found it a little difficult to clean. A garden hose with a strong sprayer would clean out the crevices that are otherwise difficult to clean.

Easy to fill and clean

When I put this up the birds almost stopped visiting the tube feeders I already have on my other bird feeding stations. I guess the message got out through "word of beak"? I echo the other positive reviewers in that the birds seem to like the continuous ring perch and stay around longer. I have seen a few different birds than before and the cardinals seem to like it better to perch on. I should say that I always have a squirrel cone on the pole beneath it. I haven't cleaned it yet, but when I first unpacked it I accidentally separated the bottom plastic sections so I know it should be manageable.

I like this bird feeder because it looks nice, holds a lot of seed, has a lot of places for the birds to sit, and the roof hangs over enough on the top tier to help protect the food tray from rain. The bottom tier could use an awning too to protect from rain though but everything else is ok. It's nice how it has enough room for the medium and small sized birds to sit and eat length and width wise. It holds a lot of seed. I'd say I can fit almost a 5 pound bag of seed in here. This is nice to have as an extra feeder too, if I want to go out of town for a couple days then the birds will have enough to eat along with their other feeders. I wish it was a little easier to clean, if there was a way to undo the metal cable that holds it together then all the parts could be taken out separately and washed more easily. Currently the metal cable doesn't detach, so to wash it, it's a little clumsy and inefficient. Otherwise I'm happy and the birds seem happy.

Birds love it! But it takes some skill to open and close to fill it. I like the two chambers so that I can put out a variety of seeds.
