It's The Real Deal. Exactly As Pictured. The famous Hong Kong Style Shrimp Noodles.
This is my second purchase. The first was actually direct form Hong Kong and cost like $10 more. If I has only waited a month! This time, I got it from a US seller: Asian Foods. What I received is exactly as pictured. Same brand. Same plastic jar with the screw on handle lid packaging. Exactly same as what I got from direct Hong Kong. And most importantly, the noodles is the real deal: the famous Shrimp Noodles! This noodle is taken for granted in Hong Kong and neighboring China and some Chinese communities in Asia like Singapore but this is a very special noodle because it creates its' own broth when it's boiled in water and reconstituted. All you need is add seasoning (salt, soy sauce or the most popular of all: oyster sauce). It's really instant noodles before there was such a thing. And best of all, it ain't deep fried like instant ramen noodles. It's just air dried so it's actually good nutritious food. It's really the most amazing noodles in the world. And oh yeah, it's very very yummy with the flavor of shrimp broth (thus the name: Shrimp Noodles!). Because it only takes 5-10 minutes to make, it's the quick & dirty quick lunch, dinner or even breakfast in HK. It's often eaten just stand alone with a few dollops of oyster sauce. But I like to throw in some veggies like boy Choy or iceberg lettuce or Chinese brococoli and some protein (left over chicken or Chinese BBQ) along with some sesame oil and seasoning with salt, soy & oyster sauce. Sometimes I'll add in some eggs (sometimes hard boiled, sometimes pan/wok fried sunny side up with crispy edges ^_^ ). Just glad it's now available via Amazon at a decent price and I don't have to make a trip to Chinatown or some other asian food market. Now there are other brands of Shrimp Noodles and one I've tried in the past was THE BOMB! Best noodles ever. Hands down. Even more intense and savory flavor but this one is the standard. THIS IS GREAT STUFF!

The real thing
The plastic container with no recycling codes is bad news and the reason this gets one star off. This has a decent shelf life and cooks to a nice shrimp flavored noodle that seems better to me when buttered. It was so easy to find in Seattle but not here in Florida.

So called shrimp noodles
Taste terribly bland, no shrimp taste

Chinese shrimp noodles
These are not shrimp noodles. Absolutely not. They are some type of wheat noodles or dough of some sort. No flavor. They melt when you cook them.

Noodle does not match picture
Instead of the thin round style noodle I got a flat one. I’m sure it tastes good but I wanted the thin Cantonese style.

Great noodles
These dry shrimp noodles are easy to use and provide a quick and favorable snack with your own favorite toppings.

Some where broken but they were good.
They don't get mushy like ramen noodles.

Noodle does not reflect the picture
Just received the shrimp noodle but it is the thick noodle not the thin noodle as shown on the picture. I thought I bought the thin noodle because I don’t like the thick noodle.
