Excellent Dog Bath
Have used this several times and works well. We own an eleven pound Chinese Crested Powderpuff. Really like the mat on bottom of this tub which helps dog feel secure. Also appreciate the tie which keeps her safely in place during bath time. Being older I place it on stable oblong clothes baskets which brings height up to 3 feet for me so I don’t have back issues. Much cheaper and easier to store than buying one with legs and using in the shower. Ingenuity is the mother of invention.

Great Pup Tub for DIY Dog Bathing!!!
I bought the little blue bathtub thing (not the potty training aid), and it's definitely an awesome product to make puppy (or small dog) bath time easier! Just gave my 4 month old, 13 lb Bugg (Pug and Boston Terrier mix) her first bath with it and it went amazingly well! The adjustable straps to hook to a collar kept her in the tub until I was ready to get her out. The only negative things I can think of about this product are:1. Because I was using it in our bathtub, I had to tilt the whole tub up a little to get the soapy water to drain while she was still in it so we could continue rinsing.2. Mine arrived with one of the rubber feet on the bottom fallen off inside the plastic bag that it came in. I'll just glue it back on, so not a huge problem, but slightly disappointing when you pay for a NEW product.

Creative use for Pup-Tub other than pet washing
I must admit this may sound a bit offbeat, but I use this great size "tub" for the purpose of hand washing small items such as lingerie. I was looking for something that had a drain, was lightweight yet sturdy, to set up on a small bath bench in my shower to wash clothes by hand. I live in an apartment, and prefer not to use the complex' washers due to skin allergies and concern for bacteria or soap residues that might exist in the machines. It is the perfect solution. Fits a nice small load of clothing, and is easy on the back too when seated outside the tub on a stool. I fill the tub with water using the shower spray, drain the soapsuds, and then refill with rinse water. A trick I use to duplicate a clothes washer's rotation action, is a small sink plunger, that works like a charm ( Designer Sink Plunger, purchased here on Amazon). That is a trick I learned from a suggestion from the good old days :) I then dry everything on a clothes rack in the tub. I'm sure there are a lot more ways to use this nifty tub!

Pet Gear Pup-Tub
Very well designed. It has a place to put brushes or shampoos or other bathing products for your dog (or cat-heaven forbid). The only reason for a 4-star instead of 5-star is not really fair. It is the fault of the Amazon web page. Links for filling the tub using a faucet-adapter tube from your tub or sink faucet leading to the pup tub--should be included on the page where you buy the tub. Yes, a couple links were available among the "also-bought" links, but the items did not fulfill my particular situation so I did not buy them. (Allow me to digress: one of the faucet-adapters was not the shape of the faucet I had; another adapter was crummy and fell off the faucet during use so it got a low rating; yadda, yadda, yadda) As it is, I still need a faucet adapter to easily fill the pup tub and wash my dog. I am using a plastic bowl from the kitchen right now.Having said all of the above:: Buy This Item. It works, it is the correct size, the rubber bottom keeps my dog from slipping about, it is safe, you name it; this tub does it RIGHT! (Amazon, find some more faucet adapters so more people will buy this tub:-)Thank you. db

Just the right size for my 7 pound Shih Tzu.
I really like this bath tub. I bathed my dog in the regular bath tub ever since she outgrew the kitchen sink and it was never a good experience. She is now 11 years old. The only water she likes is her drinking water and sometimes she even acts scared of it.This tub hasn't made either of us like bath time, but it has made it easier on me. I can keep her confined to a small area and she won't hurt herself by slipping in the big tub. I also use a short bath leash that attaches to the wall by suction cup and that has also helped. Although, she did pull the leash loose from the suction cup the last time I bathed her. Was not expecting that!

Perfect Size Tub For a Small Dog!
I've been meaning to buy a tub like this for my Maltese for years! She's 13 yrs old now but I expect her to be here for many years to come. I like everything about it & don't understand why it took me this long to purchase one! It's lightweight, has a tub plug on bottom with a rubber mat and a collar hook on both sides of tub (which I don't need but good to have.) You could literally buy this 1st to use for a baby or a small child and then pass it down to a pet lol! It's great!

My Pups And I Love It!!!
The Pet Gear Pup-Tub has made the chore of bathing my four pups a lot more fun. No more back pain from bending down over the human bathtub and the dogs feel safe and are more cooperative in their own tub. It comes with restraints but I have not needed to use them. The Pup-Tub drains easily and is a piece of cake to clean. Like another reviewer on here, I place it on my bathroom's vanity and it drains over the sink making rinsing the kids very easy. The shelves molded in the tub for shampoo and rinse are really a great convenience. I do agree that you need a faucet adapter and I found the perfect one on the Drs Foster & Smith website. I would add that this tub is a lot less expensive here on Amazon than anywhere else I looked. Highly recommended!

Okay, But Flawed
This is the perfect size for my 13lb pooch, and I can see it could be useful for much bigger dogs, too. I think the idea of having a small area of deeper water to wash her in instead of trying to just stand her in my bathtub & use its spray shower head is good. My problem is that if I set it on the bathroom vanity with the drain hole over the sink, then how do I fill the tub without making a mess? And if I put the unit in my bathtub, I can fill it easily and still use my convenient sprayer, but how do I manage to drain it since the hole is blocked by the bathtub floor? This is still a good thing, but not as convenient as I had hoped.(My dog says to report that she still thinks baths stink, new tub or not.)
