Best piece of kitchen I've bought in ages.
On my first trial I cooked a full roast chicken with stuffing and roast potatoes. I did use a baking tray in the bottom, there was very little mess, economical on electric. The chicken was beautifully crisp on the outside and the meat was so well cooked and succulent on the inside and the flavour was second to none. I roasted the potatoes and cooked the stuffing together and again lovely and crispy and soft in the centre. All it took was a quick wipe down with a cloth and warm soapy water to clean it, so easy. The large basket holds plenty of food and my baking tins fit in it nicely so no extra expense to be able to try loads of various dishes. I was initially a little daunted when I looked at the instructions as I am know techy. But when I started to use it, the controls were very simple and self explanatory. I'm so pleased I chose this air fryer over some of the more expensive one's. It has more than impressed me and that's only after one use.

Superb
Only used a few times but easy to use, clean and cook, looks good nice size can fit 2 greggs pasties 2 sausage rolls and a few chips on the second layer perfectly cooked in 14 mins from frozen, robust and practical for a nice price bargain in my book.

Easy to use
Easy to use easy to clean and very effective. We use it all the time unlike most gadgets we have bought over the years. It turns the pork rind into the best crackling.

One large oven is better than two small ones
We chose this as it is the only air fryer sold by Costco and we have always had good experiences with their select line of products. We considered others with twin ovens, but none matched the 6.5 litre capacity, which is attractive for both larger joints or chickens or for stacking layers. So far, all is well. Food cooks quickly and evenly and my only criticism is that the programming is a little counter intuitive. The physical size does not take too much worktop space and the finish is attractive

You will need to experiment to get the right settings.
I would say the first thing to do is get a silicon insert for the food bin. And a baking container to cover the bottom of the food bin. I needed to do a lot of experimentation to use the supplied raised wire tray effectively. When cooking 2 different items, one on the bottom of the bin and the other on the tray, the top item will take the heat away from the bottom item. After a lot of use I now know the settings to use and when to switch the items around. The compactness and height were the reasons I bought the Gourmia. I would recommend this to any buyer.

Poor service when issues with product
Product has been working fine but has developed a fault and seller wasn’t interested in resolving the issue and Amazon wanted me to jump through so many hoops to try and get the item returned, and paying for postage myself and then leaving me without an item until they decide if they will refund. The item is also in warranty so I will just purchase a new item elsewhere so I would recommend you do the same

Think carefully before buying an air fryer
Well firstly, the air fryer itself is fine, so my reduction in stars to 3 is because I'm a little annoyed with the hype over air fryers that seems so prevalent these days.So what's the problem? Well having spent a lot of time researching air fryers, I was led to believe that a product around 6 to 7 litres was fine for a family of 4. I mean 6 to 7 litres sounds good doesn't it? However the first thing you find is that in almost all cases food should be cooked in one layer. Now on this model, the bowl is about 9" x 9" by about 6" plus deep. Think about it, how many (for example fresh chicken wings) are you going to get in one layer? About 4 I reckon, which is hardly going to suffice for a family of 4. Now this fryer does come with a rack, which would double the capacity, but then I'll get to the next problem. While the bowl may well be dishwasher safe, our dishwasher is called Dad, and Dad finds the bowl very bulky and not simple to wash by hand. I therefore invested in silicone liners to avoid having to wash out the bowl every time I make some chips. These do work well, but when hot are a bit 'sloppy' so that if you put a rack on top, the food on it tends to want to slide off.So how does it perform? Well if you make chips for the family you can ignore the 'single layer' recommendation provided you shake them about half way through cooking (this unit does have a 'turn' option). Making a portion of chicken nuggets and chips works fine (according to my youngest), but beyond that I've continued to use the oven just so I can cook enough food for all the family. So if you're considering buying, you may well need to budget for silicone liners, and also for a fine oil sprayer (after some research I came to the conclusion that sunflower oil is good for the air fryer) since spraying a little oil is recommended to crisp up the food.It may be that it's more versatile than it looks at first sight, however I've also read articles that advise against cooking a whole chicken (which some people seem to want to do) on the basis that it won't cook evenly, and battered food (such as fish) where the batter won't crisp up and leave a soggy mess (so much for replacing a deep fat fryer). These things are probably fine for single people and possibly couples, but you won't easily feed a family of 4 without having to cook in batches, with the result that it'll probably cost you more in electricity than you'd pay to cook in the over. Frozen chips do turn out nicely though (especially with a bit of seasoning).Update 1 year on: got an error code E1 which is apparently caused by overheating a couple of the wires which should have come loose. Finally got the top off but can't see any loose wires, and the warranty ran out a couple of months ago, so it's going in the bin. I've never been especially astounded by the air fryer anyway, so will replace with a Halogen unit.
