For corded mode, the headset includes a USB cable, intended for computer use, hence it wouldn't work with standard headphone jack. You could try with a standard micro-USB to 3.5mm cable and see if it works, in case your flight’s entertainment system has a standard headphone jack, though we don't guarantee hardware compatibility. I bought this to use with my mac/usb c. i just need to purchase a usb c to usb a adaptor for it to work with a pc correct?

I believe that should be all you need. I actually didn't want to take up one on the USB-C ports on my Mac and had a USB-A hub so I just purchased the adapter and it works fine.

Decent headphones with audio fence doesn't work

The audio quality, battery back up, and ease to use are pretty good, comparable with Jabra and Bose. However, the mic fails to cancel background noise and meeting participants clearly complaining half the time. If you work in a relatively silent envt and looking for reliable headphones that are comfortable, go for it, else, it's an expnsive mistake.
