Not as expected
I have purchased the sofa style bed in the past and it was pretty decent. Not amazing but good for the price. However, I just received the L-shaped bed in espresso and this is NOT what I expected. This time I also got the memory foam. This is like a "memory foam topped mattress" the bottom 4 inches are regular for with a 1.5 to 2 inch memory foam top. You can see in the picture on my review where the two foams have been joined. This color is also not quite as depicted in the photos. Instead of a cream shag fleece top it looks like nasty 70's shag carpet. Totally atrocious color. Also the fiber fill bolsters have about 1/2 the amount of filling that the previous sofa version had 2 years ago. The material is also more flimsy. Very dissapointed with the quality of this bed. We ordered a jumbo L-shaped memory foam and it is nowhere near worth the amount of money they're asking.

Just OK
I, like others, am surprised about all the praise for this bed. The bed is just OK. I have had the bed for my 73 lb black lab for just over a year now and here's my thoughts:Pros -- Great size for a lab (ordered Jumbo 44x35)- my dog has done a lot of sleeping on it and prefers it over the floor.- certainly looks goodCons -- The foam has started to flatten. I have had a couple memory foam beds; this foam is NOT memory foam. Just basic foam with a softer topper piece.- the bolster has lost it's support/started to flatten. The L-shape bolster is a separate non-foam piece that does not attach to the main bed. So the dog is relying on the liner to hold the bolster in place- Cover is pretty cheaply made; my dog is not destructive, but if your dog scratches the surface of his/her bed they will rip through this pretty quickly. Also, the zippers have started to separate from the fabric and the internal part of pocket that holds the bolsters has started to tear away (probably b/c my dog loves leaning on the bolsters).- the furry fabric on the upper surface will hold pieces of chewed bones even after washed/vacuumedTo conclude: You will initially get a bed that looks and feels thick and great. but do not expect longevity. currently looking into a new bed that is thicker or actually has memory foam. My lab is a pretty chill dude that does nothing buy lay and chew his bones when on this bed. I can say after a year that this bed has lost the support and coush that i hoped my dog would have for years. My lab's previous bed was a bed from Costco and that bed (same price) was 10x better than this bed.

Disappointed
I have had L-shaped and sofa-style memory foam beds in the past, and was expected similar quality. I knew that this bed would be lacking in quality before I opened the box, as the unopened box weighed only a couple of pounds. This is a very lightweight bed, in foam and, more importantly, in fabric covering. Except for the top laying surface, the fabric on this bed is thinner that your average T-shirt. Don't buy this bed if you have a puppy or dog that chews or scratches, or else it won't last a day. The bolster around the bed is quite small and short on padding. All of this being said, the bed is better that the typical cheap beds found at the big box stores, with polyester or shredded recycled foam padding, and the laying surface has a bit of support. It is a good size, and functional for an older dog, so I will give it 3 stars.

Don't Think I'd buy it again.
It's just OK. Purchased the memory foam version and it does seem comfortable, but IF I saw the bed in person I don't think I'd purchase it. It's expensive for what you get, but I wan't in the mood to spend $200-300 at Chewy or Orvis for my 100lb dog. I chose the dark brown and the image shows a nice beige base and it came with an orange color instead. Not attractive. It has a cheap look to it overall. If you consider Amazon takes about 50% from the seller I'm not surprised. IF you're really in need of a bed and you don't want to pay $$$ for it, this is an OK option. Good, not great.

The Memory Foam version IS NOT Memory Foam
We purchased this bed because of the memory foam option. There are several options to choose. From Eggcrate, to Cooling foam, to Memory foam, there are different choices. We chose the memory foam option but it IS NOT memory foam. There is a second layer of foam on top of the primary foam but it does not have the properties of memory foam so we are disappointed with that. It's a nice bed for the size but we would have liked to have had it perform the way we had envisioned it would and paid for but sadly, that's not the case.
