This was my first purchase of SamSox products and I 100% wholly recommend and endorse these socks and the company. These are my EVERYDAY socks. I've had them for several months and they do not disappoint. I wrote another review for their Warmest socks, but these are WARM, COMFY, and fit well. The merino wool is perfect. I was worried they would be too thick for my everyday pairs of shoes but they are not only fine, but have made my shoes more comfortable. I bought a competing brand at the same time and THESE SAMSOX are the ones I kept and went on to purchase more. Warm, comfy, high quality, sock favorites.

Though I prefer the SAMSOX lightweight hiking socks, these fit the bill for comfort, size (Medium for 8.5 women) and padding in the right places. The padding is great for hiking and kept my feet blister free. The fact that they're made in the USA makes me happy to support the company.

I love these socks. They wear like iron, but are super comfortable. I accidentally threw them in the dryer and maybe they shrunk up a little, but not bad at all. The next time I washed them I hung them as usual and they were right back to normal.

Very comfortable, fit well and warm

My wife and I both bought these hiking socks and used them on an initial 5 mile hike. Both of us found them to be quite comfortable with a cushy feel. They worked well with our Saucony hiking boots. It was a warm day and the merino wool breathed well and our feet were not damp. As other reviews noted, these socks run small. My wife is a size 6 and got the small which fit fine but could not have been much smaller. I am a size 10.5 and got the XL based on the reviews and it fit perfectly - usually I would have ordered an L.

The socks look and feel good but after washing them the first time, there was an entangled mesh of wool I didn't expect. I missed the return deadline, so I had to keep them.

I forgot I needed some new hiking socks and of course when packing for a backpacking trip I realized I needed something. So, I purchased these since they would arrive in time. I was thinking it wouldn't be so great but these would be better than short socks since that's all I had. These were actually quite comfortable and held up really well. I can get them wet and dry them out relatively quickly. The sizing also was accurate because they weren't too big which is usually an issue for my women's 5.5 size feet. I haven't hiked with them in the heat of summer yet but I'm usually doing lighter hikes and wearing trail runners during that time. I have worn these for both hiking and casual boots walking around so I've washed them a lot and no issues with them coming apart. I liked these enough that I purchased a second set so I would recommend these for others.
