Sharpens Great!!
I like this pencil sharpener as it can sharpen regular sized pencils as well as thicker ones. very quickly the pencils are super sharp. The trash receptacle for shavings is easy to dump and replace. It's lightweight, so I need to hold it down on the table, but that's expected for something so small. It's fine for home use.

Great for high end pencils, not so much for low end ones...
I love the fact that my Derwent pencils can now be sharpened to a tip appropriately. Downside, the darn thing spins so fast I can barely hang on to the pencils. I have had several of my newer pencils eaten up by this product, so that's not good...

Sharpens, but cheaply made
This does sharpen well, and it was inexpensive and small... which is what I wanted. Although, I consistently find it in the back of my van with the battery cover popped off and batteries rolling about. We'll see how long it lasts.

I am very happy with this pencil sharpener
I am very happy with this pencil sharpener. I have been waiting rather impatiently for it to come out. I had a battery powered Derwent pencil sharpener that I got around 6 years ago. It was wonderful and when it died, I was devastated. I looked everywhere, but it seemed that they weren't making them anymore. I was thrilled to find this. It's a little on the small side, but it has 2 different holes for doing two different types of points. I tried three or four different brands of pencils in it and it worked admirably on all of them. I had no breakage and it didn't whittle the pencil down like some of them do.All in all, I am very happy with this sharpener. As an added bonus, you can purchase replacement blades to keep it going even longer...

Perfect,
Where have these been. Electric sharpener fits those slightly larger colored pencils that don't fit other sharpeners and Als the large barrel pencils. Does a very nice job and puts a short point as opposed to the super long sketchers point. The only down side if I had to say, is the small shaving waste capacity however if it were any larger it would make this less portable and this is the size of a baseball. Also the pencil holes have a very nice little door that keeps all of the dust inside. Overall as close to perfect design as could be.

DOES NOT FIT WITH DERWENT ROUND PENCILS WITHOUT INSTANTLY BREAKING
Not worth it at all.Firstly, why make a brand name pencil sharpener that does not have the correct size for the brand of pencils it’s supposedly made for. The sizes are the same as any standard regular and large. But Derwent Inktense pencils and Derwent Pastel Pencils are both round. Unlike the traditional hexagonal pattern for your average pencil which Derwent also opted for with their watercolor pencils. The size is inconvenient as it barely fits in most pencil sharpeners unless you want a short pencil tip. But as they arrive sharpened to a nice point one would think this pencil sharpener by the same company would be the one to provide the artist with the same point. But it barely fits and when it does it is incredibly easily jammed and then broken. Not just the pencil. The sharpener itself is busted. It broke on the first use and I haven’t been able to put it back together. I am really good at assembling things, taking things apart and putting them back together, somehow this wasn’t something I could fix! Everything seemed in the right place, batteries didn’t want to fit in properly, then the manual switch that is pushed when the pencil is inserted into either slot stopped giving any reaction so the pencil sharpener ceased to turn the power on.It started when the tip of a pencil broke off into the smaller slot and I could not see it. When I realized what had happened I unscrewed the razor and cleared the very stuck pencil tip, reattached and then nothing.

Sharpens quickly to a precise point
This is the best pencil sharpener I have ever owned. It’s compact so it doesn’t take up a lot of desk space. It sharpens quickly and to a precision point. Highly recommend this. I use it to sharpen my graphite, charcoal and colored pencils.

Well
As pencil sharpeners go it looks amazing for the price. Bit gutted it wasnt clear it takes four batteries and it should be a rechargeable these days. Anyway I have fairly good eyesight still don't wear glasses but I found the instructions impossible to read without the Hubble telescope on standby. Then it didn't work great at first butchering a few of my very expensive pencils. Then I spotted it had little switches on the sharpener so you can eject the annoying broken lead. As I couldn't read that it was trial by error. It seems to be doing okay now but it's not as good as I thought it would be and it's noisy. However it is well priced and quite sturdy. Personally I think it would be ideal for an office or for kids. For a professional like me I'll probably stick to my penknife when I want an extra fine point.

Worked well until it suddenly stopped working after few months of use.
I have many electric sharpeners but this was my go to sharpener for all pencils. Stopped working after 3 months of use which is a shame because my cheaper sharpeners are still going strong after many years of use.Did not like the safety feature where you need to push a button to open the flap to insert pencil. This makes it difficult to sharpen using one hand.

Epic, fast and efficient.
I bought this to use after researching good electric sharpeners. Having previously bought one which connected to the mains, I wanted something reliable. The USB ones are rubbish. I can honestly say as a primary school teacher, this has saved my life. Easy to use, easy to empty, super speedy at sharpening pencils, it’s reduced faffing about and now I have a station for blunt pencils to wait ready to be sharpened and a caddy with perfect pencils ready to go! It’s a treasure in my classroom! Other teachers keep borrowing it!
