This was a gift for my sister. She absolutely loved it, though she says they are a bit difficult for her, she intends to practice till she can! The Songs are for an advanced level pianist, but if you are about a late intermediate pianist you could attempt to do some or at least gain some experience. This is catered more towards advanced pianists.The songs are lovely and the arrangements are gorgeous!

Cover and back of book came with some minor scratchs but I can't tell if this is because of shipping or I received it used. overall everything else is fine

This is a more advanced set of music sheets compared to a lot of the other SE/FF piano books out there that were made specifically for beginner players (the Doremi books). This one is published by a different company, and is a no-hold-barrow awesomeness. It matches up to the released Piano Collection album. It is also thinner overall than the older beginner books published by Doremi, but the pages are higher quality. notes are small (well it's probably standard, but compared to the simplified arrangements in the Doremi books for Chrono Trigger, Cross, and Xenosaga that I own, this book's print is smaller). It does NOT stay open on its on without bending, but I use clips on either side against the plastic stand holder on my digital keyboard, so it haven't been an issue for me.Note that this book does NOT include the following three pieces:- Moon Rippling on Water's Surface - Disquiet- Summer Twilight - Relax and Reflect- Snow Falling on the Heart - MelancholiaWhen i bought the book I didn't realize that the three i listed, despite following similar naming convention, were actually from the Bonus Disc - Special Music Collection and Piano Arrangement from the Ultimate Collector's Edition of the game. These three tracks are not in this book, nor are they part of the Piano Collection album (this book follows the Piano Collection album). There are actually a few tracks on the UCE bonus disc that IS in the Piano Collection album (therefore in this book).I did feel disappointed when I received this and couldn't find Disquiet (it's my favorite piece from the whole game), so just heads up. Thankfully there are fan-arranged piano sheets for all three of these.Also I'm actually a beginner (started learning on my own around 8 months ago), and I can say that while the entire book as a whole is definitely intermediate to advanced level, Sorrow Without Solace IS a piece that can be learned and played at a beginner to intermediate level. It's the only piece i've learned, although the huge hand jumps/transitions still gives me hiccups, but it can be done. So...a little hope to those who are still in the beginner stage!Although honestly, I love this game and the music so much, that even if I just started learning today, I would've bought this book just to own it. I honestly picked up learning piano because of this game anyway. XD
