This to be an additional set of cameras to be running cameras in conjunction with the factory reverse camera. The parts are of good quality the wire for the power supply if you want it to be hot all of the time on a ram 1500 crew cab would need to twice as long. The wire is big enough unlike most of the components you buy is more like thread the splice fittings are good the notched camera base is a great idea only the camera shows. This has to be the easiest install you can do especially if you utilize the provided 12v plug that is push on push off red light you have power. It is easy to use with reverse on just by splicing to one reverse light hot and ground to camera and monitor and your good to go. Good picture quality both day and night lane markings are provided. The mount is up to you I will be ordering the suction mount not a fan of goo on my dash so they offer a free mount great on their part hate buying items only to repeat price for accessories. Another stand up offer is the free additional camera making for great coverage for your vehicle. You can spend more but why or less and regret it. Great customer support have been around for a while so your dollar is not wasted on a compatability sells one and done.Yeah it comes from China the government is the problem not the people these are just some working guys who believe in Capitalism. This definitely a product to consider when shopping for a backup camera.Update I took advange of the offer for a free camera and got a windshield mount now the system is complete can view front and back when needed. This is great to keep from hitting a hidden object when moving around a camp ground or boat ramp at night.

I am very impressed so far with this camera system. Install was as easy as powering up the components and they connect to each other wirelessly automatically. I installed this into a 2012 Ram 1500. I powered the monitor with the supplied cigarette style plug that has an on/off switch on it. To power the camera I chose not to splice into any wires in the rear of my truck for fear I might mess something up. Plus, I wanted this to run all the time not just in reverse. I simply mounted the camera to the license plate bolts and then ran the supplied wire toward the front of the truck as far as I could. There was not enough wire to do this so I had to add onto the two wires with my own wire. I ran down the frame and into the engine compartment to the fuse box. I used a fuse tap and removed the fuse for the back seat 12v outlet. The fuse tap goes into the spot for that 12v outlets fuse. The 12v outlets fuse then goes into the bottom slot of the fuse tap. The top half of the fuse tap is where you put a New fuse for the camera. I used a 7.5amp fuse because that is what so had on hand. The res wire goes to the fuse tap, and I grounded the black wire to the negative post on battery. Not the camera has power every time the vehicle is running, not when it is turned off. It is also a sweet deal that they will send you a free gift if you email them. You can choose from a second system, a windshield mount, a 12v outlet multi plug, or I think extra wire maybe. I hope this helps someone else make a decision. I always like to find reviews that relate to my specific vehicle or situation.

I have tried a few different wireless backup camera systems on my 2013 Ram 2500 pickup. Know of them worked well. Was not happy and frustrated. I ordered this system and I am super pleased with the performance of the product. It works well on my truck. Nice strong, clear & crisp wireless picture at all times (even at at highway speeds - I wired the camera to a power source so that I can turn it on and off as needed). The 7” screen/camera provides a wide view of what’s behind you. Installation was a breeze. The product works exactly as the manufacturer states. Looks great. It is a great value the price. Originally, I was going to return the item after receiving it, because the instructions said that it would not be suitable for the truck we have. I read the reviews before I bought it and they all said that the camera works great on their trucks, but the paperwork said "small SUVs at best". We did give it a try, after relying more in the reviews and IT WORKS!!! We have an older F250 with an extra long 8ft bed. Installing the camera was pretty easy (after watching Youtube videos, there were no instructions on the paperwork provided) the monitor sits nicely on the dashboard and with the antenna pointing down we are getting a clear picture and works great!!! Super surprised that it works this well!!! ( we did test it prior to installing with a car battery, to check if the distance would be a problem) Also, the camera does stay on in the cigarette lighter unless you hit the "red" button or just unplug it, might be easy to forget to do and cause the car battery to drain, just an FYI to look out for.

It took me a couple hours to install this wireless backup camera on my SUV. Most of the time was spent on removing the panels on the lift power door. Once the panels are removed, I connected the backup camera power to my reverse light using the provided clip connectors. That was easy and no splicing needed. I’m using the cigarette lighter to power the monitor. The picture is clear and no reception issue so far.I received a second camera free as per the description on the product. Customer support responded to my questions on the next day so that was great.
