The G1 is a great little player!! I struggled at first with the idea that you cannot access Google Play with it because I wanted to download the VLC player and I was concerned that the apps presently on it could not be updated, however the player app that comes with this MP3 is great so, I cannot see needing another player, assuming the preloaded player app will never need to be updated. The battery life is great and the charging cord is a little longer and thicker than a typical USB cord, love it. It came with ear phones as well. It is the perfect size for your pocket and the display is nice and clear with good lighting. What I love about the preloaded player, is that it shuffles across folders and is easy to figure out how to do it. It is not repeating songs in the shuffle either after an hour of playing. This is important to me because I like having folders to separate the artist in case I want to hear something specific but I like the option to turn it on and listen to whatever without having to make a playlist or a separate folder with different songs to shuffle within. VLC player on my other model does not shuffle as good as the preloaded player on this and it is not as user friendly as the preloaded one. It also did not have a problem reading my SD card and the other model did and had to format it. It was quick to pair to my Bluetooth speaker all functions have quick response time. the speaker that is on the player is not so bad so, you can listen to it ok without another speaker. You can change the font size to make it larger. The customer service is awesome as well! They heard some concerns of mine and went over and above to show me how nice this MP3 player really is. My only regret is not buying this model instead of the ones that I had purchased for other family members. Well done you guys!

Review on your replacement item, which does not work at all. When received I charged the item, then connected it with my Internet and downloaded 1 book from Audible and turned it off. That night I tried to turn it on but it would not. It lights up and shows Immioasis then it goes out then comes back with the name again and keeps doing that for hours. It won't turn on or off and will not let me do anything. Now I have 2 of these 1 does nothing and the other has static and gets hot when running for about 1 hour. HELP My original purchase on January 30 that had static now won't even turn on Beware this Item is High Priced Junk. Used from January till April to listen to books and now it is dead. Beware DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THE MAKER OF THIS PRODUCT.I love this item but have concerns it gets very warm after using just a short period of time listening to a Audible book, I use it to listen to my books, nothing else. I have also not downloaded anything else onto this device but 2 books. Last week I could not connect and kept getting an error message. It told me to take back to Factory Setting which I did and then needed to go back to square one to set up again. I'm hoping this is not the beginning of more problems????? Has anyone else had this happen to them??

The first one I purchased worked for about half an hour. Worked GREAT, it was fabulous. The entire purpose of this purchase was to have a wifi capable mp3 player with spotify, got exactly that. However, after a half an hour it died. The battery didn't die, the player did. It won't boot up, resetting it doesn't fix it, it just gets stuck in the boot cycle over and over and over.... Totally OK, stuff happens right? So, had Amazon replace it, 2nd one came no problem, first one sent back. 2nd one worked for almost an entire day and them BAM, same thing. Won't power on fully, just stuck in the boot cycle and resetting does nothing. This is going back for a full refund.UPDATE:. The company found out there was a bad batch and is currently working to rectify the problem. Will change my review accordingly after we see if we can rectify this. While the player worked it was perfect, so if it really was just a bad batch then this is totally fixable.UPDATE 1/6/2023 - received a new one two days ago and so far so good. It's still working great, no issues. The other two died after a few hours, so I don't currently have any reason to believe this will stop working. As long as the company truly does get rid of all those bad batch items, this is a very good product.

This MP3 player works well and music playback offers a lot of flexibility. The sound quality with the supplied headphones is good. Music is easy to load and having a 1 TB SD card capability allows me to keep my entire music library on the device. I've found it is easier to load the SD card on my laptop rather than loading directly onto the card in the device.If you are going to be active with the player, buy the optional screen protector. Without the protector, the face is easily scratched. The protector is very easily installed. I also purchased the optional protective case which is nice.Now for a shortcoming. The device will not support any apps other than what is already loaded on the device. I use the MP3 player when I take my daily walk and it would be great if I could load a time and distance app on the device so I can track my activity. If the manufacturer would modify the firmware to accept other apps, the device would be perfect for me.
