Q: i purchased and item is defective and doesnt even turn my fan now,

This is a bad aftermarket parts maker mine worked for about 2 days then ran codes it works in cold weather up to about 50 degrees then it runs slower when theirs a load on the engine and caused the engine to over heat when the AC is on. I recommend trying toget a factory one from a junkyard. That's what I did and I've had no problems since.

Q: Does this fit an 03 envoy XL 4.2L

I'm sure it will, same 4.2L engine as the one in my Chevy Trailblazer. Mine failed after the 30 day return period by this manufacturer. All auto parts I've every purchased have come with at least a 1 year warranty. When I contacted them they did nothing to make it right. I wouldn't purchase from Topaz or from anyone selling their products.
