Sony Xperia 5 III

After reading all the mixed reviews I was dubious about buying from here. However the phone came a day early (woohoo) and after the many many android updates the phone hasn't over heated, battery life is still good. Had it less than a week but so far so good

They are not honest. They sent me defect mobile and did not want to give me money back. They asked me to sent item back via Royal Mail and not through Amazon. I have been treated very bad.

I should have researched this phone a bit more before purchasing as the heat seems to be a common issue. After turning on for the first time and running through the setup, I immediately noticed the phone got uncomfortably warm. I was charging it at the time, and a heat gun read out 40C. I put it down to initial setup plus charging, and surely during regular use it would behave normally, however I noticed at times just on a web page it would get really hot again. Go and update apps and within seconds it's really hot. Side by side with my old 2017 Samsung, I did similar tasks and it performed just as well but stayed like an ice block (both phones are all glass and metal), yet this Sony was on almost on fire.This was so promising with it's headphone jack, screen with no camera in the way and decent camera. But I'll have to return and find something else that doesn't feel like a fire hazard.

I got this phone because I didn't like samsung due to battery deterioration. At a glance, the phone was amazing. It was amazing for a few months too. Then the problems occurred. When I plugged the phone in to charge it would go through a reboot cycle and reboot until it overheated or drained the battery. Took it in for repair. The cpu fried every component in the phone. It went on to take 3 more repairs in two weeks. It worked for another 6 months and now it's doing the same thing again.
