Better than manual cranking when making sauces.
OMG! Great help when making large batches of applesauce for home canning! My arm doesn’t get tired. I don’t need to take a break! Love it.

Worked for one season with heavy use
I bought this a little over a year ago. It worked great, with no issues except maybe a couple times it overheated. Basically was used late spring through late fall before I put it away. Fast forward to a couple days ago, it ground one cup of flour before it died. At $70-ish, it's cheaper than the large units, but I'm not sure it was made for as much use as I put it through.

Does the job!
First one got stuck and had to exchange it. New one works well and grinds red wheat berries to a fine flour. I like it so far!!

Slow but reliable
I've had the grain mill that this attaches to for a few years and finally got tired of using it by hand (especially during the summer I'll work up a sweat just grinding enough for a single loaf of bread). This makes it as easy as flipping a switch.Important note: I may not be the normal target market for home grain mills (I'm an able-bodied 30-something year old dude who just happens to like rustic baking), but I can grind grain by hand way faster than this thing does. If you need to grind a lot and don't care about having the option of doing it by hand, you may very well be better off getting a standalone mill that has a motor integrated into it. For me, this was the cheapest reliable option as I already had the mill, and I can just set it to run while I'm doing dishes or whatever so the time it takes doesn't bother me.

Can mount it
If you don't get the EXACT motor it's a worthless purchase. It doesn't work for most mills and you will have to figure out how to keep it in place if you have a basic mill. Be careful what you purchase-otherwise, you'll lose money.

Saves a Lot of Work.
I was happy with my hand-crank grain mill but recently added this motor. It makes milling my own grains so much easier.
