Even on very cloudy days this thing spins like a top.

As everyone else is saying, this one self starts with the least amount of light compared to the others. I was up just after dawn, and this one was already spinning . . . none of the others were. I pretty much have them all . . .and this quickly became my new favorite. If I had it to do all over again I'd buy only multiples of this one.

With all the solar panels we were disappointed as to its rotation speed and other times not working. Assume it may be simply defective. Ordered a 3 panel rotating unit from the same company. I have a 3 solar panel unit and its great. Hope the new one works well, its a birthday present.really liked the mutipanel one. oh well...

Great solar engine that has a great bearing, stand is solid metal. It will spin a glass jar balanced on top, to give you an idea of the sturdiness and possibilities. Spins at least 5 revolutions a second though.

I have a four different iterations of this type of vertical solar motor. ( I just like them). And this one is the best. It will start spinning on its own with a minimal amount of light. It's quiet, well balanced and well made.Only downside is it took a month to arrive.Highly recommended

It works on overcast days here in Canada! What more can I say?

I own six sunnytech solar engines and this one is by far the best. Self starter even under low light conditions

I got it next to another sun motor and this one took off right away. Even without direct sunlight, it still works great.
