***EDIT of previous review
***I mistakenly reviewed a terrible mixer here but accidently wrote it under this great mixers page. Now I will give this Aicok mixer the review it deserves. Firstly it is solid, fairly heavy. The attachments are made of a lightweight metal and so far have handled even cookie dough well. Because the paddle is so light weight I was afraid it would not withstand anything heavy but so far I am impressed. The mixers arm cannot be removed as far as I can tell however the mixer is easy enough to clean that I can't see a reason where I would need to remove the arm. The one thing that I am not so happy about is that the paddle does not come close enough to the sides of the bowl so I found myself having to do a lot of work scraping the sides myself but if I wanted to pay 3 times more money than I could have a mixer that would eliminate that problem. I love having a metal bowl which is one of the reasons why I bought this particular machine. Glass bowls are just too heavy, Mixers that have heavy glass bowls must have been developed by men. :) All in all I find this mixer to be well built and it does the jobs I give it with no strain on the motor so it is a great mixer for this price range. ***To the manufacturer: I am so sorry for the mistake I made which gave this mixer such a bad review when it certainly is a terrific mixer compared to the mixer I thought I was reviewing. My most humble apologies.

A great tool for the introductory chef/baker
The Aicok 5 qt mixer has been a valuable tool in my wife's cooking life. Not only was the price of this unit less than half of the name-brand mixers, but for almost two years now, it has been a tireless workhorse! Nothing has slowed down or broke on it and she (sometimes I help) uses it alot! It comes with the basic attachments (mixer, etc.), but seriously, no one needs anymore than what comes with it. I thought at first that it would be hard to use because it would slide all over the place, but the suction cups on the bottom provide a secure attachment to the counter top. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is simply because the head doesn't tilt back as far as I like (and that may be the way all mixers are, I don't know) and it makes it a little difficult to add ingredients or take the bowl out.

Solid, Hardworking, Easy Clean, Easy Store
Chose this model, as I have very limited counter and storage space. I couldn’t be more pleased. Wanted it for my gingerbread house dough, but found it so handy that I use it for all kitchen mixing. To those who complain that it “doesn’t clean the edges” when mixing dough, I would recommend they simply let it run a little longer - it will mix 100%, if given time. Not too heavy, yet it stays put while mixing. Agree - colors would be nice. But for a savings of $200 over colorful models, black works just fine.

I love to bake cakes
I love to bake cakes, cookies, and other desserts, but it takes a long time since I usually use a whisk to mix the batter fully. I make a lot of desserts at once so this mixer helped me save time and reduce the amount of strength I have to put in. It mixes very fast and makes the texture of the batter very smooth. The bowl this mixer comes with is also pretty huge. Overall, this mixer made my life of baking easier and made me want to bake more often.

Broke during very first use!!!!!
When I received the mixer I looked at it and the attachments. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t damaged during shipping. It felt cheap...mostly plastic. The paddle felt thin. I wasn’t impressed but did like the fact that it did bring the paddle, whisk, and dough hooks. The bowl was deep and it brought a splatter shield with pour pout which was nice. My biggest mistake was not trying it out right away when I got it back in January. Here I am trying it out for the first time four months later, and the mixer stopped working!! During the very first use!!!! When I first turned it on, I noticed that the knob felt cheap and flimsy. As I turned it, the mixer started pulsating and it was pretty loud. The batter was thin, so I know it was struggling with the batter. Then as I increased the speed to 5-6, which is recommended for the whisk attachment, I noticed the sides of the bowl had flour on it that wasn’t being incorporated. I turned the mixer off, used a rubber spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl, and tried turning the mixer back on. It wouldn’t turn back on!! I tried lifting the top of the mixer and locking it back down again, detaching and reattaching the whisk, unplugging and plugging the mixer back in (into different outlets as well), turning the knob to off and gradually back up again, but nothing worked. It just stopped working during the very first use!!! I’m so disappointed and now it’s too late to return it. So I’m basically out $100 and I am left with this broken mixer I can’t use. That’s what I get for not going with the KitchenAid.

My kids love it! It’s so much better than buying cake
I just got it about a week ago, but I’ve used it so many times already. I’ve made cakes and bread with it. My cakes have never been fluffier! My kids love it! It’s so much better than buying cake. It tastes better, and it’s much healthier because I can control how much sugar is in it.

Great Mixer. Would prefer all stainless steel utensils
Best mixer for all around use.Unfortunately I disheashed the utensils and have corroded and I’m now looking for replacements because I am not sure if it’s safe to use them. If the manufacturer knows better please message me. Thank you in advance.
