First class picture
It was the 4k picture quality that tempted me to purchase in January. initially I used one of the top quality cards 128 have and was amazed at short length of time before it was full and over recording.I purchased the 256 card recommended and even with that the total recording time was poor and drive up to Aberdeen, 500 miles, and to cover the full journey it was necessary to reduce the quality to cope with the 8 hr journey, it is then necessary to copy contents to a laptop to retain a copy in case of any future query - to contest an inaccurate info from a speed camera. One serious flaw was discovered when an exceedingly strong gust is a recent gale which blew a bulk of timber into the road in front of my car, even swerving violently to the right braking for an instant before lifting the front of the car with a touch of power which saved the bodywork but not the wheel, tyre, suspension and steering rack setting off the 4 explosive devices on the bonnet catches and rear hinges designed do lift bonnet some morons head away from engine when walking out in front sending or reading a text. the noise was incredible and the shockwave stopped the camera recording the 5 minute segment which had just started. The last speed recorded immediately before the accident was 21mph. I crawled up the road at 10mph and approx. 5 minutes later it started recording again as I turned into my drive. my car is a 3.5 year old BMW 730d Xdrive on 18" wheels with tyres not rubber bands.I would like to know why it stopped recording in this instance it was not too important but it is worrying because my reason for a camera is to prove conclusively if I an is the right or to blame in any incident.

Good picture quality - WIFI does not work but not essential
The picture quality is very good,Small dimensions so takes up little of the windscreen area - I have located it behind rear view mirror so not visible when driving.Anti-static sheet, which goes between windscreen and sticky pad, to enable repositioning does not stick to windscreen (which was very clean) when camera is attached so had to stick pad directly to windscreen.Unfortunately, the WIFI does not work with my phone (MiA2) hence the 3 stars - phone does not see VIOFO network (tried 2.4GHz and all the 5GHz options). Got fast response from VIOFO on-line support team and will try with another phone - if it works will change to 4 stars.WIFI not essential but it makes set up easier.I read that some cards are not suitable for continuous recording so I went for the one below - no problems so farSanDisk HIGH ENDURANCE Video Monitoring for Dashcams & Home Monitoring 128 GB microSDXC Memory Card + SD Adaptor, Up to 100 MB/s read and 40 MB/s Write, Class 10, U3, V30, White

Nice, well- thought-out product
My first dashcam, but I am impressed with the quality at night and during the day. I bought the front-only version but this product is cool because I can add a rear unit later by purchasing separately. Also, there was a small static-cellophane sheet which came in the box. This means you can place that on the window first and then stick the base to that. So, much easier, should you ever change car or have a windscreen replacement. You power the base (the GPS unit) and clip the camera in and out of that when you need it, so no messing around with plugging/unplugging cables. I could use a standard vehicle usb to power this device - and that switches off with the ignition, so I didn't even need a hard-wire kit. Excellent!

Nice clear footage
Nice and easy to install the picture quality is good both day and night. I have to say with all the sunny days recently the polarizing filter is a must (an additional £15). The app does give you control of the camera settings inside the car. However, the WiFi link to watch footage is über slow your far better just using the sd card for that and hat a good sized sd card you'll need it. It fits nicely behind your rear view mirror out of view. I also use a Maxoak battery power pack for when I'm parked up and just change the power leads over on the camera it automatically boots back up (but they all do that I'm aware of). For the money and a 4k dashcam or as close as you can't go far wrong.

More complex than it should be
Why you should have an app to use this is beyond me, wish I never bought it, they made it more complex than it should be, and they don't have customer service, there's a lot better out there, my advice is keep looking...
