My most reliable piece of gear. Take them apart to store!
2 helpful notes and a strong endorsement of these poles:I’ve put these poles through hell both while thru-hiking the Appalachian trail and for the two years since. They are still absolutely amazing. I use them with my trekking pole tent, on rocks and dirt, everything. I was skeptical at first about how sturdy they would be because they are so light, but they’ve by far proven themselves. I’ve seen plenty of thru-hikers, especially ultralight folks, just tear through poles because they snap or don’t have the stability desired. I have felt very lucky to have such a reliable piece of gear. Two things to note: 1) the cork handles are not actually cork they are foam. I was a foam hater before these poles but find the foam has actually been just fine. Ymmv. 2) After a lot of use the poles can get dirty/worn and start to stick together when you store them. I hadn’t used them for around a month and had a very hard time unsticking them to adjust them to full size. I now take them apart to store them and haven’t had a problem since!

Super light, held up well.
Incredibly light. Bought for 150 mile backpacking trip in the mountains because I had seen so many great reviews. I was worried they wouldn't hold up because of the low price so I ordered them early so I could test them out first. They held up well. You do have to understand their limitations and use them accordingly. With ultra-light poles, there is a strength tradeoff. Don't use them in ways that apply strong lateral forces. They are lighter than poles I have that I paid 3x as much for. I just wish they had cork grips. I would be happy to pay a little extra for that feature.

So Good, I Bought a Second Pair for My Wife
Not only are these poles incredibly lightweight, they also perform exceptionally well. I get in about three backpacking hikes each summer and these have been my go-to poles for three summers now. I love that they come with interchangeable tips, which I can swap out depending on the type of terrain I plan to hike. I’ve even used a pair to support my backpacking tent, and they’ve never failed me—even in wind and rain. I originally bought one pair and loved them so much that I had to get another after my wife tried them and wanted her own. I don’t review products often, but these truly deserve the praise and respect they receive. Great price and great value.

I love this great for hiking & skiing. I use my hands a lot for work so they are already tired. These are a dream

A decent tradeoff of features for weight
I traded in my heavier aluminum poles with the clamp locks for these twist locks for the weight savings on longer hikes. You will be making some sacrifices to shave the weight but I'm happy that I did.Pros:Cost - Very affordableWeight - Extremely lightweight for aluminum trekking polesTwist Locking - No clamp locks to snag bushes on the trail or pocket liners on your packCons:Not as sturdy - Lightweight comes with less material so you will notice a vibration when hiking as the poles wiggle on hard impacts from the thin materialSmall pole head - The top of the trekking poles are a small plastic knob that is difficult to use if you palm the head on downward slopes. Conclusion: I'm going to be using these as my go-to long distance poles. The cons are an easy price to pay for the weight savings.

Sleek, lightweight, sturdy, WORTHLESS
They are sleek and so light it's hard to believe, yet they seem quite sturdy. The grips are a little small, but the adjustable straps help to compensate; if you use them right they sort of "grip you back". I'd really like to give them five stars, but they tend to slip if you don't screw them down very tight. And if you're not careful, you'll screw them down so tight you can't unlock them. Happened to one of mine and I had to finish a 34-mile hike with short poles.UPDATE: Downgraded from four stars to one. I never was able to unstick my stuck pole. I researched it (there are whole web pages devoted to this problem) and tried everything. It will not budge. They are worthless to me now. Even if I could get it loose, I could never trust them again. I got maybe half a dozen day hikes out of them, and they're now garbage.
