Nice design and comes with a velcro cable wrap. My mobley runs cooler with this adapter versus plugged into the obdii or using a 12vdc power adapter (not a 12v usb adapter but a direct 12vdc power to the mobley). This works with a 1 amp USB adapter. The mobley does not draw much power. I now have the easy option of running the mobley from a USB Power bank giving it even more portability.Update April 2021: The firmware update removed the always on option for the Mobley. This adapter has a potentiometer that allowed me to adjust the voltage to 13.0 vdc which prevents the timeout. Pop open the module in the middle of the cable to get access to the adjustment.

I have a humx gen 2, and this product works for what I need it for. I have a Nissan and they has suggested not plugging anything into the obd2 port due to it can cause transmission issue and or cause issues with the starter. I still wanted wifi in my vehicle becuase I have an app enabled stereo and I didnt want to pay the $599 for nissans connect 4g network.I will say though this only allows the humx to keep the wifi feature active long as you are driving. Once you stop for about 10-15 mins the wifi shuts off but the moment you start moving again it reactivates.But for people that want to use their humx has a hotspot outside of driving situations this is product will not work for you. You can extend the wifi for 60 mins but that's it.

Five star performance but One star noise.I have an AC adapter made by another company that is dead silent when powering my ZTE Mobley hotspot.I decided to get a “twin” USB type to add flexibility to my power-up options so I chose this.It works fine, but THIS Mobley/adapter combination is anything but quiet. It hisses and crackles and warbles and makes me wonder what the heck is going on inside there.When I plug back into the AC adapter it’s silent and works fine...Would look at other options if I were you. At then end of this camp-out I’m sending this back. It scares the squirrels.

The product materials are of high quality and they feel real nice, I wish the cable was a little shorter personally but I can handle the cable being long. The product however does not work with the Sprint drive OBD2 plug-in since it requires a engine signal to start the wifi part. Maybe a second generation of this product can fix that

Did't review right away because a previous device bought from another vendor did not last three weeks before it burned up. This device which is a totally different from the previous one I bought, seems to work great. I have been using this new on now for two months and it seems to draw less current than previous device, which keeps the Mobley and USB cooler.

The last adapter I owned made a very faint, high-pitch buzz. I thought that was normal. This one doesn’t do that. My other adapter’s cable came loose at the connection point. I’ve been using this new one daily for a long time and it’s been great.

Unit build is great, but doesn't work with tmobile sync up drive. Just "sleeps" after 5 minutes. Had to return. easy return policy.

So far this device has worked great to get my AT&T mobley working in my house. The area the mobley plugs into in my car is way under the dash. Using this device i can plug into my car charger and set it up higher, Delivery was fast and packaged well!
