They are SO cute and appear very simple...BUT...I have to say since I am only working on my first pattern from the book you have to count a lot!! I have cross-stitched for years and you have to count more than once to be sure. I have had to take out more stitches than I care to admit so take my advice and count...then count again!!!

Perfect size for ornaments, gift tags or pieced into Christmas fabric. Nice lap sized projects while you watch holiday movies.

I love the variety of designs. The pattern layout is very easy to use. i love the added ideas on how to use the patterns for gifts.

The designs in the book are great for making the Christmas cards I envisage. They are a bit more modern and not as old fashioned and twee as some others in my opinion !! The only thing that I was confused by and hence just the 4 stars, was what make of stranded cotton was being used in the design charts so that I could buy the relevant shades. No where in the book could I find it mentioned. As it was a Bucilla book I initially thought they were Bucilla codes but after trying to convert them to DMC codes I now think they are actually DMC which is just what I wanted so all good. Perhaps there is a different version for USA and Europe ? Anyway lovely book and just what I wanted.
