DR Mixed Media Spiral A4 250 GM, GDAMMA4The Forest Stewardship Council

I liked this for my watercolors. I am just a beginner but blending was easy and paint lifted nicely.

I wanted to try this paper and tried it on a botanical. Although it is not cotton, it performed very well. It handled the water for washes and since it is mixed media I will find it useful on my learning journey. It comes from a vendor in the UK, but I received it promptly and before Amazon's estimated time frame. All in all very pleased.

I use Hanhemulhe 300gsm, Arches 300gsm and even the cheapest Stationery Island 300gsm. This one is very bad paper quality. I'm doing Contemporary Art so I need decent paper for my projects, unfortunately this one is not what I expected. The paper cockles even in the lightest wash. It would be okay for pencil, crayons, oil pastels and soft pastels. Just anything liquid doesn't fit well with this paper. Disappointed as I use other DR products.

A fairly good pad for a good price. It does buckle slightly when you add a wet watercolour or gouache wash, doesn't like any wet on wet. It's still a fairly good pad for taking out and about sketching with line and wash.

Bought to use to make sketches and test colour pallets ect before final pieces...this paper does not enjoy even light watercolour washes. I felt the paper was too soft too and pencil even used lightly left an indentation in paper which isnt ideal. A few marlers also bled ever so slightly at the edges for me (promarkers) wont be buying again.

I was buying an A4 version of this and thought the A3 version would also be very useful. Shipping was very fast and well packaged.
