Norcold (633326) Refrigerator Relighter Module Service Kit

I have an Ageing 1995 vw Eurovan Camper that had a Norcold 3163 I had two prevailing problems with it, 1.) it would take several minutes to light and 2.) that would appear to be constantly relighting itself. the Ignition circuit was faulty and it would cycle on and off even thought the flame was indeed lit. I replaced the lighter board and all is well now. lights in 10 seconds and works great. The two wires to the interrupter are too short so i just made additional jumpers. works well, no problems.

Replaced a defective unit on a Norcold 3163 in a 1999 VW Eurovan camper van. Install relatively easy repair as could access by removing the top control above the fridge so fridge removal was not needed. Wire length on the new unit was the same as the defective one so no wire extensions needed as others experienced.

The board was fine. The white wires were to short to replace the original without making extension wires. An inch more wire would have made my life so much easier.

I ordered this part for my refrigerator and it fell apart before it could even be put in place, the prongs are not Soldered in properly , I ordered a replacement one and it had the same exact issue. Had to return them both. Unfortunately will have to look elsewhere for this part.

I installed in 5 min, and worked immediately, like a charm!

Solved my problem with the fridge not stating lit on gas.

I can't comment on whether it works yet or not because I have to do extra work before I can hook it up because all the wires are 2-3 inches shorter than the OEM board that comes on the Norcold 3163's and it won't fit in the same place where the original board is!! Grrr. A number of folks in my Eurovan campers group all said they had the same issue. Because the relighter connection is on a different spot on the new board, it's only long enough to reach that spot when the board is moved to a different position as it only reaches it in one position. But, when you do that, it makes the two white (interruptor) wires not long enough and the green (ground) wire *barely* long enough. Relocating the board to a different spot on top of the fridge means that the other wires won't fit. Very frustrating that this could have been easily resolved had the wires been slightly longer.
