Weave cell phone and tablet cases, scarves, skirts, cuff bracelets, headbands, baskets, pillow covers, throws, potholders, placemats, rugs and more.Turn the loom sideways (either direction). First make sure your side bar slots are facing away from the middle, snuggly tighten the wing nuts. There will be 20 slots on the far left bar and 20 slots in the far right bar, with the movable bar in the middle having 40 slots. In your mind or write on your loom (all three pieces) mark the bottom slots as one, next one up as two, etc. Then with your string in the left hand in the far left bar lay the end of your string down thru slot one (hold it or tape it or temporarily tie it there). Now with your string in your right hand lay the string over slot 2 in the middle and slot one on the right...then up thru slot 2 on the right, over slot 4 in the middle and back down slot 2 on the left. Repeat starting at slot 3 on left, 6 in the middle and 3 on the right... [that means do not skip any slots on the ends (1,2,3,4), but skip every other slot in the middle (2,4,6,8)]. Repeat to the top. (the top slot of the middle bar will not be used, as the bottom slot of the middle bar will not be used) Now you must weave your string back down (20,19,18)...never skipping any side slots on the way down, but now using the middle bar slots that were not used on the way up (39,37,35,33. Now carefully tie your two ends together under the 1-2 slots on your end bar. You should be ready to start weaving. Have fun! Good for "light" weaving. Hook a bunch together & you can make rugs & blankets
