Worked well for spacing out the nails In the chair

Dritz Space and Set Tool was extremely helpful when applying the decorative brass nails for my upholstery project. The nails were evenly spaced at the bottom of the footstool holding the fabric in place and gave ita beautiful, professional appearance.

This is helpful for spacing. The grip on the tacks is too tight sometimes after the tack is set, removing the tool can unseat the tack. I find the angle/corner grip most helpful. This tool can be helpful in not smashing your fingers in trying to set the tack, but the thickness of the tool can prevent the ability to set the tack and remove the tool once set without unseating the tack. After some practice, the tool is helpful when you are familiar with how it can help. It is sometimes helpful and sometimes not. This is true of any tool. Overall I am glad I bought the tool and find it helpful.

Works good for straight smooth areas but not so well for others

This little tool is a game changer! Perfect for keeping those upholstery takes straight.

I was hoping this would provide the ability to easily line up tacks and make the process more efficient, but it simply did not work well. After a few uses the tool stopped gripping the tacks making it unstable and useless.

Good product

I was so happy to think I found a tool that would give me those straight lines and space I needed. I am sure there is something out there to do it, but this tool is not the one. It was very hard to hold and use. Lines were not straight nails would not stay in.
