Better Options Out There
This is perhaps the most beautiful, well constructed flashlight I have ever seen. The weight and feel is superb. Fit and finish is as close to perfect as you're going to get. Magnetic charging is excellent and the nylon holster is top notch. I really wanted to keep it, but performance was disappointing, so I returned it. The main reason I purchased it was for the 1500 lumen turbo mode, which is pretty much worthless. Now, after a fully charged battery, the difference in turbo mode IS quite noticeable, but that quickly comes to and end in about 60 seconds, not the 3 minutes advertised. To get the turbo mode to actually be useful, the battery has to be completely charged to full. Even using high mode at 1000 lumens for a few minutes, puts enough of a drain on the battery that switching to turbo is hardly noticeable. The hyped up 1500 lumens is only achieved when the flashlight is fully charged, or has had enough time to sit and recoop itself after any period of prolonged use. This flashlight also has tons of spill, which is great for illuminating the ground in front of you, but leaves much to be desired when trying to light up distant objects. It's color is more on the yellow side of life, which I find to be annoying as I like white light better. I could care less about accurate color representation of objects at night and white pierces through darkness better. I also did not like the fact that in order to get to high 1000 lumen mode, which is my preferred brightness, you have to use the side switch, which is extremely hard to find in the dark. So much so, that I needed another flashlight to find it. The side switch also has a low profile, which makes it even harder to find. I would have preferred to have the tail button have a half press in high and full press in turbo. The owners manual actually states that this is possible, but after trying normal mode and tactical mode, I could not get the tail switch to work in this manner. Oh, and FYI, the tail switch is nice, but the magnetic feature is only good for charging. It's not strong enough to stick to ANY metal surface without falling off...fail!The included Kydex holster is a nice addition, but it way too tight. Be warned, if you're going to be using the holster on a daily basis, be prepared for the flashlight's finish to come off rapidly! I suggest ditching the Kydex and using the included nylon holster, which is top quality.Overall, the M2R warrior is a work of art, but falls short on performance for me. I have a Nitecore MH12 as my go to flashlight and aside from looks, it blows the M2R Warrior out of the water and it's cheaper! If you want an attractive, well made flashlight for your collection to show off, or for general use, then the M2R will work for you...it's a decent flashlight. However, compared to my other 1000 lumen flashlights, it's nothing special when it comes to performance.

The battery indicator does not work on my flashlight
This flashlight works pretty good for my job, I use it every day and only charge it once Every two days the 1500 lm really helps when trying to spot something at a little bit of a distance, there is one thing about this flashlight that prevented me from giving it five stars the battery indicator light does not work I don’t know what it is or why it doesn’t but it does not show me what battery level my flashlights at it will only glow red when the flashlight is locked like it should But will not glow for any other reason seems like a received a defective product and it is not something I can return at the moment since it is something very important that I need for my job so I kind of have to guess on the battery and I have not really seen how long the battery will last me I charge it once every two days other than that the flashlights OK And ask for the Kydex holster it works pretty good I don’t know why other people have problems with it but I have no problems with it I just put a tiny bit of microfiber cloth on the inside of it, All I had to do was Increase the diameter in warm water before installing the cloth and it does not leave any scuff marks on my flashlight whatsoever, the people that are complaining I guess just don’t decide to modify their Holster like everybody should to make sure it works for them.

Almost my perfect EDC light
You can't have it all, but the M2R Warrior is pretty close. I looked at lights from other manufacturers and settled on Olight because of its reputation and the company's honesty about the performance of their products. While it would be great to get 1500 lumens for over an hour from something that fits in your pocket, that's not realistic yet. Olight's website broke down the expected runtimes for the lumens range of this light (i.e., 1500 lumens for only approx 1.5mins). With that knowledge, I was able to keep my expectations in check. That being said, I'm satisfied with my purchase.Great bright light with every scenario usable lumen range from moonlight, for reading maps without giving away one's position (or more so, for reading a menu in a dimly lit restaurant), to eye-searing max 1500 lumens for momentarily disorienting an attacker. It also has a tail switch for use in a tactical application. It's the tail switch and the weight that keeps this from being the perfect light for me. The tail switch, while in a tactical position, is too recessed to be easily activated. A magnetic charging end is what is gained from the loss of a more tactile tail switch (the M2T Warrior has a much better tactical tail switch, but I didn't like its diffused, less intense hotspot). Also, while its size isn't an issue, the weight of the M2R is probably a half an ounce or more too heavy to fit comfortably in my jeans. However, the weight is not an issue with the belt clip or in the outside pocket of cargo shorts or pants. If I wore cargo pants everyday or could wear the belt clip without someone at the grocery store mistaking my light for a weapon, the M2R Warrior would be the best EDC light for me. When I know I'll need a light, I'll clip this one on my belt and go, but until I grow out of my skinny jeans phase, the Olight S1 Mini will be my pocket EDC light.
