Love this Pomade
My favourite go-to pomade! Strong hold, even for thick wavy hair. For those who are new to this kind of pomade: For best results with straight hair, apply and style after showering, while your hair is still damp.Has a nice waxy, finish. For special occasions where more shine is required, I find this pomade works well in combination with a higher-shine 'topper' like Royal Crown. The scent is somewhere between vanilla and cinnamon. Nothing too obtrusive, which I appreciate.Beautiful tin and simple recipe. A real old-school product!

Great for sensitive scalp- only 3 ingredients!
First time growing out my hair. Needed something to manage it and didn't want to use those hair products with a million chemicals in it. I have very sensitive skin. Came across this amazing product! Its literally like Vaseline, except it's much harder and its designed specifically for the hair. The main reason I chose this is because it had only 3 ingredients in it. Petroleum, Mineral Oil, Parfum. The parfum scent is very discreet almost un-noticable, yet smells very very nice. It is a very light vanilla scent. Tried the pomade direct on my skin first and it caused no irritation at all whatsoever, it actually greatly moisturised it so I was more than happy to put in hair. The pomade is a strong hold and weighted down the hair. It made it look slick and neat. It is waterproof which was a big advantage for me. It kept in shape for the whole day, and the next day. When it looked out of shape, just wet my hair up again and bam it reactivated as if you just put more in.Washing out - first time using pomade, obviously read the reviews that it was a pain to wash out. Personally I didn't find this to be the case. A good tip I found, is when you go into the shower rub the shampoo on your hair while it's dry. (I use baby shampoo) Leave for few mins. Then start shower as normal. And use conditioner. All pomade came out every time. If you put way too much pomade in hair, then an hour before you go into shower just rub some hand cream in the hair. It breaks the promade down. All in all, I highly recommend this. It lasted me for a very long time. An amazing hair product! Smelt beautiful and great for people with sensitive scalps. Going to try the Nu-Nile one next.

Great for the price...
I normally buy water based pomades, but I've just finished off a tin of Layrite, so I thought I'd grab a can of Murrays and have a go at using oil based for a change. I don't do any pomps or time consuming styles to my hair, I just literally apply the product and slam it back.Opening the can of Murrays, it's scent and look reminds me of Dax. After taking out a scoop, it's thick and strong but with a bit of work and warmth it spreads well into my palms. It's easy to apply to damp, towel dried hair, but the only thing I wish the product had is a bit more hold throughout the day, because I mainly work outside, but on the flip side, it's nice to be able to comb through again when needed instead of trying to restyle a rock hard slick back by adding water. I've got thick wavy hair, but the product managed to control and straighten it out. I also like how it smoothed down the sides of my hair when I combed over them with a bristle brush.I found that Murrays really shone with a few days of build up in my hair. When it came to reapplying on a morning, I was giving my hair a spritz with a mix of hair tonic and water in a spray bottle. But when it came to washing it out on the third day, most of it shifted with two washes, but I could still feel a bit in my hair more so around the roots.Overall, it's a great pomade and I really can't fault it for the low price ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Looked good on the article
It's a hairdressing, I bought it after reading a write up, but not sure it's suitable for Caucasian hair.

Near perfect quality
Great for thick, curly hair. Quite difficult to apply to hair by itself so I wouldn't recommend as a first-off for beginners who aren't sure what style of hair they want or who don't know how to handle their hair. I just leave it floating in very hot water for a few minutes to let it melt for a bit - it becomes significantly easier to apply this way. Others may choose to use a hair dryer for a minute or two or leave it on a heater (though the latter is supposedly not recommended). As with all oil based pomades it doesn't wash out easily and holds your hair very well, while at the same time being easier to recomb/restyle than most water-based pomades, making it perfect for rainy days or for when people feel like ruffling your hair throughout the day. It can end up quite sticky on your hands when applying it - I've just had to wash my hands vigorously after using it.The value and simplicity of this product is what makes it go above and beyond the rest of the other products. Couldn't be happier.

Very torn on this product
I have mid length hair and wear in a texture push back style. This wax has great all day hold and style control. Can’t fault the look it gives. However, it is a bitch to wash out. I have tried lots of shampoos but my hair is not clean for 3 washes after. Purchase for occasional use but beware, it will not wash out easily. I would give 4 starts but I feel that doesn’t account for the residue issue enough

Superior indeed!
I found this by trying to find out what Elvis used to use on his hair. I can see why he used this. It smells nice, it lasts all day long (and the next few too if you have not bought a degreasing shampoo) and is easy to apply with warm hands on damp hair. If you try and apply this to dry hair it will be like trying to run chewing gum through your locks so don't do that. Best to warm it up in your palm and apply it to some towel dried hair. It stays loose enough to remold and reshape for a bit too before finally 'going off' and setting your barnet for the duration. Its REALLY strong stuff. Roller coasters, gale force winds...defeated. This will last you the whole day...BUT.....it's mighty mighty sticky and tacky so dust sticks to your hair and its murder to wash out again without the appropriate antidote! Totally recommend it though if you want that Rockabilly/Rocker quiff or high tower style.
