This is an excellent instant miso soup made from paste rather than powder for a better taste. It's also gluten free and actually contains bonito flakes. I know that would be a minus point for vegetarians, but I think it's great to see a more traditional miso soup. It's really tasty too and very satisfying considering the low amount of calories it contains. Quite expensive but a big box like this lasts quite a while.

Does not taste as good as the regular one...guess that's what you get when you cut out the gluten.

It is a great little miso, delighted that they have made it gluten free. If they remove the sugar or use stevia instead it would be perfect.

I usually have a cheaper Japanese-branded paste miso soup, but thought I'd treat myself to a big boxful of Itsu as it was half price. Glad I did! It's not as salty, has a richer flavour, more seaweed, and the packets are 25g instead of the 18g of my usual ones. (I actually ordered a second box as the first one arrived open and with some sachets missing, so it went back. Hungry mice at the Amazon warehouse, methinks ;-) ) Don't know if I'll buy it again if the price goes up, but it has a long shelf-life so might stock up in the meantime.

Not the cheapest but very convenient, easy to travel with and the taste is fantastic.Quite meaty when compared with other brands.

Great for quick snacks, also in the office. I often add some tofu for more proteins.Other options: diced salmon, spring onions, surimi, etcIf you add ingredients, the bowl may need a couple of minutes in the microwaveA dash of togarashi if you like it more spicy.
