Choose smart
The roof bars fitted perfectly my Dacia Duster 2020. The locks are a bit stiff, but in the end everything went smooth. They look strong enough for my needs, so no complains. The package came complete, with no missing or used parts. The price is really good, so I'm quite happy with this purchase.

This is the worst item I have ever bought from Amazon.
I purchased this item because it was specifically said to suit my car, a Dacia Logan Estate. First, the package had been opened before and re-sealed by Amazon with Amazon sticky tape indicating that someone had purchased and returned this item previously. Second, the design is poor by trying to make it suit as many different cars as possible. Third, when the clamps were tightened as much as possible using the inadequate tool provided, ( a long Allen key used lengthwise) the bars could still be slid along the car roof bar and back again. Fourth, there was a large gap above and below the fixed car roof bars and the crossbar could be raised and lowered within the gap by hand. Fith, the locking end caps are so stiff to turn and almost impossible to remove. (But free enough when removed.) Having to turn clockwise to unlock took some sorting out. Sixth, eliminating the cross bars looseness on the car's fixed roof bar required tightening the screw in the plastic clamp with my own special Allen key that I thought the plastic was near to breaking. Next, trying to remove the bars was impossible because they were jammed in position and had to be dismantled into two pieces by completely removing the screw from the clamp assembly. Last, the key barrel came away from the end cap because a tiny retaining clip fell out (and was lost). Purchasing these roof bars was a complete disaster from start to finish. Amazon, you need to get some quality control system in place instead of passing the buck back to the supplier. I paid Amazon and in UK law that makes Amazon responsible for supplying shoddy goods without checks.

Cheap and noisy !
I feel like I've been generous with the 3rd star here because you get what you pay for. When you look at recognised brands for roof bars they seem really expensive. But after owning this, I realise that they are possibly just the right price. The Allen key supplied with these bars did not fit the bolt! How hard is it to get that right? When fitting this to your roof, your natural instinct will have you rest it on the rails (already part of your car) and then tighten the brackets... I mean, makes sense as you'll then be putting heavy things on top of the bars! Doing that on my car (mk3 Renault Megané) means that the bars are making contact with the roof. So you have to lift the bars up in the brackets before tightening them... Meaning there is a chance they will slip back down after a heavy object is sitting on top and damage the paintwork, the roof itself, or worse - dislodge your cargo spilling whatever it is all over the road!To reduce the chances of this happening, I tightened those bolts as much as I could (using my own tools because the allen key doesn't fit as I mentioned before). And 2 of the cheap bolts have stripped - meaning that if I take the bars off, they are never going back on again. But maybe I should do that anyway, because the noise coming off them is insane! For now I have simply been turning the radio up to drown it out, but that is getting old. As they will go in the bin if removed, my plan is to fill the gaps with expanding foam in the hopes that it'll kill the noise... I just haven't gotten round to it yet.

Decent buy
Very sturdy product. Can be a little noisy when on the motorway due to the fitting of it which is why only 4 stars . Overall pretty happy though.
