Tissot T17158652 Gents Watch PRC200 Chronograph Quartz

The watch is everything I wanted and the price was excellent. Only two small cavills though. First, the manufacturer's guarantee card was not signed or dated by the vendor although it was included in the package, also the brochures in the package did not include the actual instructions for the watch. Since the watch came with a guarantee from Amazon and I could get the instructions off the web neither was a major issue. Other than that I am absolutely delighted with the watch. It looks good, the construction quality feels great and it is very clear to read for those of us who have passed our thirties... by a lot!!

BEWARE OF BUYING TISSOT WATCHES FROM AMAZON - THEY WERE SELLING COUNTERFEIT PRC 200s.I'M NOT TALKING MARKETPLACE ORDERS, I'M TALKING DIRECT FROM AMAZON UK!=========================================================================OK, it looks like a lot of us got FAKE Tissot PRC 200s - have a look at this link to see my watch and then tell me its real![...] (post by ru_galloway).The clincher for me is the YELLOW small second hand - it should be white! ... also look at the printing on the 180 and 240 of the TACHYMETRE ring. Most definitely a FAKE.My immediate reaction was to send the watch back and get a refund so I called Amazon and the refund was arranged.However, I feel that Amazon has a duty to provide us with the (genuine) Tissot PRC 200 that we bought in good faith from them.Surely they cannot just absolve themselves of all responsibility in this and fob us off by stating they no longer stock the item?Good Customer Service means doinf the right thing by the customer and Amazon pride themselves in the best Customer Service in the business.Therefore, they should do the right thing byt their loyal and unsuspecting customers and make good on their orders.If that means they need to buy legitimate PRC 200s direct from Tissot then they should do it and send them to all customers who bought a fake.It also begs the question, are Amazon recalling these watches. How many unsuspecting customers are walking about with fake Amazon Tissots on their wrist?!I think we need to be more vocal with Amazon and not just accept a refund. We bought a watch from Amazon in good faith and I think they have a duty to provide the goods we bought (at the advertised price).I felt so strongly about the issue that I emailed Amazon UK's CEO ([email protected] or [email protected]) and got a stock reply from one of his minions thanking me for drawing it to their attention!The real question is, how deep does this go?In the past I would think nothing of buying online from Amazon as I trusted them implicitly - there was no possibility, in my mind, that Amazon could sell counterfeit goods. However, my recent experience has shown Amazon to be as fallible as any other retailer.Of course, if anything did go wrong, you could always rely on Amazon's industry leading Customer Service.That, too, seems not to be the case anymore. They don't seem to be interested in doing right by their customers. OK, we get offered a refund, but we bought the watch at that price because it was a good deal - Amazon should be held accountable and honour it.To all those that ordered recently and think they got a genuine PRC 200 - I would seriously recommend you go to your local jeweller and check it agains the real thing. I did, and Amazon's Tissot falls short in all areas.As always - Caveat Emptor!

I bought this watch from an Amazon market place seller. What I received was a blatant fake, which looked nothing like the advertised watch or examples I had handled in jewellers. I identified numerous issues with the watch that I received from the genuine example which included:The watch should have a screw down crown, but the watch I received only had a pull out crown;The positioning of the sub dials on the watch was wrong and too close together - completely different to the stock photo on amazon and official versions;The watch had a hour marker present at the four o clock position where the date window is, something the original does not have;The typography on the face was not centred and different to the original;The middle sub dial that records the seconds did not tick (another sub dial incorrectly did);The yellow hands of the sub dials did not reset to the 12 o clock positions and did not work;The paperwork and box was very poor quality - the typography was not aligned or centred and the embossing was scratching off;The metal Tissot logo inserts on the box were not level and had rough edges;The surfaces of the box were peeling off and the glue was visible;My advice would be to just think does this watch look and feel like a £300 quality time piece and is the price too good to be true. Do your homework and make sure you know what a genuine example should look like. Another thing to consider is that as Amazon is not a recognised Tissot dealer, if the watch does come with any guarantee it will not be with Tissot (if you buy from a recognised Tissot seller the watch will come with a 2 year Tissot guarantee) so that is also worth checking out.Hope this is useful.

My wife baught this watch for me for our wedding anniv. aug 2010 next. I have set the time by the radio pips 6 weeks back and it is still to the second. this is the nicest wach that I have ever had and that is a long time!

battery life is low....otherwise nice looking and comfortable watch!!!!a little bit heavy though.I ordered for a black one instead they shipped me blue...grrrr.

I had this model as a gift for 20 years service. Very nice piece. However, it lasted 12 months beyond the warranty and then the movement failed - a common problem, I understand. Movement costs around £100 to replace. I ended up buying a similar-looking Rotary to replace it which was £56, on offer on Amazon at the time.

Don't listen to the old reviews about fake watches! I have previously bought the same watch from a jewellers, but unfortunately it was stolen so I decided to buy another one on Amazon. It is the real deal, and arrived promptly as described. My previous model lasted me 5 years with no issues, the face truly is scratch resistant. Highly recommended, and you won't get it cheaper anywhere else either.
