Fantastic guitar!
Ok at first I was a teensy bit apprehensive on buying another acoustic guitar from Amazon as the last one I bought needed some surgery to make even remotely playable (action, stuff needed filing, re gluing etc).I thought this time I’ll do my research, see what’s about for a decent price, cross check reviews. I’m so glad I did as this stretton Payne is an absolute dream to play!Full disclosure I have been a bass player for over 25 years but decided to buy my first 6 string back in January so I haven’t been playing guitar all that long but straight out of the box and a little bit of tuning this guitar is excellent, nothing like the last one I bought. From what I’ve been able to find out this brand has a great reputation, I’m not sure about electric guitars as I haven’t looked for them but certainly the acoustic dreadnaught style lives up to its high praises IMO.This guitar isn’t actually for me, my stepson has been asking for one for years now so I thought best get him a decent one rather than the finger bleeder I bought some months earlier. I’m now totally jealous and am ALMOST hoping he decides he doesn’t like it so I can tap it off him 🤣 I did say ALMOST, I think it’s going to be a lot of fun showing him the fruits of just 3.5 months of learning can do for him and how satisfying it is to play chords. I’m nothing special on guitar but once you’ve got the hang of the basics and you master power chords it’s like the whole world opens up to you, I’m hoping he finds it as satisfying and fun as I have and I strongly believe that this is the guitar to master those basics with a level of ease you seldom get from cheaper alternatives. As a little bonus you get some accessories, I’m not a massive fan of these tuners that you can’t plug into but they do the job albeit can get a bit wandery on the tuning but considering you get it with a £100 guitar along with a strap, couple of plectrums and a gig bag I can’t really complain. Granted, the gig bag is a tight fit and it’s not really padded, I’d say it’s more of a dust protector than anything else but again, it’s a package for £100 and still extremely good value. Oh and you get a set of spare strings too, I don’t know much about acoustic strings as I ended up swapping my acoustic for an electric fender bullet mustang after about a week of trying to play on that nightmare finger bleeder and I never looked back since. I’d say Ernie balls are the best but I’ve never tried the acoustic strings... if they’re anything like the electric ones they’ll be a winner.Fantastic guitar, I highly recommend it!

Great guitar for beginners for a great price backed by a great customer service of Rock Star Academy
It is a nice looking guitar with a nice and clear sound ideal for a beginner like me. It also looks pretty big, which I like.It arrived quickly and well packed, just needed to be tuned a bit, because the strings are new and the guitar travelled in inconsistent environment as one would expect. There was just one issue with one of those tuning pegs (machine head) not working, but after contacting the Rock Star Academy (the manufacturer) they have quickly sent a replacement even with some extra plectrums.Overall I am happy with this purchase and am glad for being backed by such a good customer service!

As a bassist of 30 years playing high end Status and Alembic basses I can tell if an instrument is well made or not ...... well this does not disappoint ! I ordered one day and It came the next , very well packaged and was also in a nice black soft case . I have to say the guitar is finished to a very high standard , it oozes quality , the neck is on the slim side compared to others but not too much , the action is not too high making it easy to play . Out of the bag the guitar was still in tune !! the strings settled in nicely and holds its tune well .The solid top give a lovely warm resonant tone . I must say I am surprised at the quality of this guitar for the price considering an equivalent spec Fender would be in the region of £250 . Needless to say I am more than happy with my purchase .

great guitar. rubbish online lessons
after looking at different guitars I opted for this one for the ease of playing and for a beginner the free online lessons . . the guitar arrived the following day . well packaged spare strings .tuner strap and plectrum. QR code to set up and tune up and good to go . but for some reason the rockstar academy website is ridiculous to navigate and to find the lessons even harder..why on earth there isnt a app ? got this to help de-stress all it's done is get me more frustrated. emailed with no reply . in the end gave up and just watched youtube videos . so basically a good sounding guitar .and looks great too but if your wanting the lessons maybe find another deal .

Great for the price!
I bought the guitar for my brother, and so far (after 2 days) we have been really pleased with it. It arrived after 2 days from Rock Star Academy, and is been just as described. I am no expert guitarist but I have played a little for the last couple of years. It arrived in perfect condition (it was well packaged), had all the extras with it (no spare strings, but I don't think they were advertised), and it plays well and sounds nice. It doesn't seem to have a particularly 'high action', it seems to be better than my guitar (but of course you'd get a lower action if you paid more and bought a higher quality make). It wasn't quite in tune when it arrived, but it seemed like it had been tuned and had lost it in the journey! But it was very easy to make the small adjustments with the tuner that came with it. All in all, very pleased so far.

Honest review
I received my guitar day after ordering. There was a fault with one of the tuning pegs, the company dispatched a new peg and gave me a set of strings and a few pics for my troubles which I am grateful for. The over all build quality of the guitar is really good. It was easy to tune, the guitar has a beautiful rich sound and comes with six months of online lessons. The guitar star and bag are not really good quality but over all the complete package is well worth the money and I am very happy with my purchase.
