BLACK+DECKER CS1835-GB Corded Chainsaw, 1800 W , Orange

Took a maple tree down to stumps. Took me 20 minutes to set up chain (after soaking in chainsaw oil - sold separately - for 60 minutes). The instructions are not perfect. One diagram repeated unnecessarily and mislabelled and you're told to align bolt with chain guide screw but this is impossible. Common sense gets you through and - once you've set it up - you're up and running. Get yourself eye protection, ear buds, a mesh face guard, sturdy boots and protective clothing but prepare to get HOT. This is hot work. Mind you, I was working in 30 degree heat :) Can't be without PPE wear though. This chainsaw guzzled through half its reservoir of oil. I'd estimate a standard bottle would do for about an hour's sawing. For the price this is an amazing tool. I'd never used one before. Saved myself £250 getting a professional to do it for me and I still have the chainsaw for next year. Totally recommended.

As an electric chainsaw used domestically this is spot on and much better for me re weight than my previous petrol Stiel which was too heavy for the mostly small jobs I now do in my garden. Easy and light but with surprising cutting ability...let the saw do the work, as always. Good value for money.

I had two tree stumps the largest on about 30 cms across. I had tried a bow saw but may as well have used scissors. This chainsaw got right through in about 10 minutes. The smaller stump was about 20 cms across and only took about 60 seconds to cut through. The instructions say it needs to be adjusted quite a lot, particularly when the chain is new. They are right but easy to do. In the main very impressed. Don't forget to buy oil..

I have been using this chainsaw for almost 5 months and almost on a dalitly bases. I can tell you this machine is fabulous. It cuts much thicker wood than stated. It's powerful and has not given me a issue so far touch wood :) my only minor issue is the way the chain. Is connected to the saw gets loose on some heavy usages and you are having to put the chain in and screw back which can be time consuming. Even though this minor niggle this saw has not let me down so far. The product is well buoy and feels it too. I purchased a cheaper chainsaw from a shop on my high street which I won't name. That just did not last more than a few months at best. If you want a good chainsaw you can't go wrong with this beauty. Also I must say deliverywas brilliant (as you would expect from Amazon). I recommend this product to anyone wanting a very good chainsaw. Thank you.

Worked well initially, when i came to use it again... nothing.. just didn’t work at all. Sent it back and received a replacement, great on first time of using, went to use it again... nothing... exactly the same problem just didn’t work.!! Returned again now going to try a different make

I had a Black and Decker Chainsaw for many years, Eventually could not get a spare "CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMNET NUT" This part is the only item which has needed replaced and replaced about 3/4 times. This part is no no longer available and unable to use the chainsaw safely. Due to the excellent operation over the years decided to purchase another B/D chainsaw CS 1835 GB. Had the item one week and works perfectly. In view of my past experience with the "CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMNET NUT" i decided to order a replacement to replace when required, I am Unable to purchase a replacement "CHAIN TENSION ADJUSTMNET NUT" Will try for a few days to get the part and if unsuccessful will be returning the item as will be the exact same position as i was with my original B/D chainsaw the only difference is, this one is brand new

Bought this to take out a couple of small trees in my garden, It does the job well enough for the price. The build quality is good and the assembly was straightforward, the only thing I didn't realise is it needs chainsaw oil which isn't included. The instructions are good enough that a novice can assemble and learn to operate the tool safely.

the system works fast, has good power, but no matter how much I tighten the chain it falls off about every 3/4 mins of use, getting me about 2 cuts then pop goes the chain, take it apart, and put back together.
