Perfect little tool for aligners
The first few weeks after getting aligners was tough, with a sore mouth and bleeding gums and inner cheeks due to me trying to pull the aligners out. I was quite literally thinking about getting them removed. After reading the reviews on this and Reddit, I found this product and now carry one with me everywhere I go. I drop it in along with the aligners in my small bowl with cleanser and am happy I found this. Highly recommend.

Perfect for removing deprogrammer
I have a dental deprogrammer to prevent clamping and grinding of teeth. I have very thin, short nails and had trouble removing it with my nails. This device works perfectly!! So glad I found it.

I'm Hooked
I used a few others, but this hook works the best to dislodge a very tight liner. VERY inexpensive also.

Great for invisible braces
Great for invisible braces! I keep one in my purse and one at home. Removing the invisible braces for eating is so much easier with these rather than using my fingernails. Glad I found these!

Better than Destroying your Manicure!
If you have recently started clear aligner orthodontics and, like me, have experienced the panic of thinking you won't be able to remove your trays from your mouth then click ADD TO CART right now! I've tried two different brands so far and they seem somewhat similar, with this brand running a close second to the other. I was having a heck of a time removing my aligners (my orthodontist gave me no advice other than to use my fingernails or a new/clean pedicure tool that had a hook-like apparatus on the end (really doc?) The first option (fingernails) didn't work at all (it just tore my nails to shreds and didn't even budge the aligners) and the second (pedicure tool) cut my gums to shreds in the process (the pedicure tool was metal!) and was still not a perfect solution. Thanks to the world wide web I found aligner removal tools. HEAVEN SENT! I've still cut my gums with these (seriously folks, my aligners are TIGHT!) but it's much more rare and not as dramatic. I'm giving it four stars rather than five due to lack of value. The price is a little steep (not outrageous or anything, but it's a tiny piece of plastic with a hook on the end (basically a crochet hook with a round handle at the base) for what you're getting, but the fact is, if you have aligners, you need it, so pony up! Haha! TIPS: 1. If you're having a hard time removing your trays even WITH the tool, try tiny little pulses of pressure rather than one hard pull. 2. Additionally you can cut/file a tiny place on the outer edge of your aligner, towards the back as a divot for the tool to find purchase. Your orthodontist can do this for you, or if you decide to do it (I did!), be sure to be VERY careful (look it up online and watch a tutorial first) because if you cut too much you run the risk of cracking your tray and thus setting back your treatment schedule. 3. Buy three tools total. I have one at home, carry one in my purse and have a third as backup (but for some people the third would be kept at the office). I bought this set and another which was a single tool rather than a set for less than five dollars and found it to be slightly more user friendly than these. That said, I would gladly buy this brand again as well, they work great. BOTTOM LINE: Buy an aligner tool today!

Easy
Love these. Too bad the Ortho doctors don't provide these for invisilines! These make it easy to remove liners.

Game changer
I purchased this and a similar tool. The difference between them is the way the loop is oriented with the hook. Both work well. The assistant trying to show me how to remove the aligners told me to use a spoon or crochet hook. By the time I left the dentist both thumb nails were ripped and bent over from trying to remove the aligners (short weak nails). The handle of a spoon helps, but was tough to get it above/below the edge of the aligner. Wonder why the dentist doesn’t give these tools out, sell them or at least suggest them. Thankfully it arrived the next day as taking out my bottom tray was a several minute struggle even with the spoon. These are a game changer. Not sure I’d continue using the aligners without them - and we know how expensive they are! For reference I have suresmile with 6 attachments on the bottom and one attachment on top and today is the 4th day of my first tray. I’m not popping the trays out as easily as the videos online make it appear, but the process is significantly faster and easier than without the tool. Hopefully it will get even easier with time. If you’re lucky enough to be looking into this product before you get aligners - do your future self a favor and buy it now!
