Turtle Beach Recon 50 Gaming Headset for PC and Mac

My teenage son is a serious gamer and over the years we've gone through a lot of headsets. The last couple of years he's had very expensive ones that he's loved but he needed a new pair. This Christmas has been a bit of a tight one for us as a family so I purchased these and I thought that he'd be disappointed because they were a lot cheaper but he loves them and has said they're not bad and do the job perfectly. I've had a listen with them on and the sound quality is good. The mic is ok so for the price, you can't go wrong.

I bought this headset (red pair) in order to use for my Xbox. I previously had the green pair however they aren’t anywhere as good looking as the red pair I currently have. He price was actually so good for this headset as I previously bought it else where for more (an additional £10). The quality is amazing of these and it even prevents hurting your head (headset hair is still there, you can’t get rid of that sadly…) making it so comfortable. Honestly this is the best headset I have used in a while now and will continue to use. Great for Gaming!

I cannot be too critical of these headphones given the price, they work and provide you with enough sound quality for you to be able to game effectively. The mic also works well enough. Do they sound great? No. But they are perfectly fine for the price.

My daughter absolutely loved these and I have to say they do sound great the only problem we have now is she shout talks over the mic now lol good quality

Considering the headset is a very cheap to buy item.. They are exactly what you'd expect... They are cheap... The mic quality is bad, the build feels very cheap and light and they feel like they are flimsy... Bit disapointing.

When I recieved this product on christmas 2015 I was thrilled..The sound was great.It worked perfectly on my pc and xbox.it looked nice and was comfortableHOWEVER... within about 5 months the sound on the headset seemed less clear and the foam on the mic began to fall apart and would occasinaly cut off. Then another month went past and the headset just died. The mic by itself would not work and i could not hear any audio on my PC and on my xbox one. When attempting to get the serial number we realised that the serial number needed for a refund / replacement was BLACK on a BLACK headset. in otherwords unreadable. Meaning we could not get a reafund. When telling my friends about the issue they told me that Turtle Beach was actually pretty infamous for this and that if they had known i had intentions of buying it they would have stopped me. I am verry upset about this and I feel that i have been tricked into buying an awful product disguised as "high quality". It is worse however that they have made it virtually impossible to get a refund for.UPDATEAfter a three months of it being broken, Turtle Beach agreed to replace the headset and they gave us a better pair of headphones. I will be keeping them as a spare pair as I had already bought a pair of Razer Kraken Pro Neons which after 4 months of using I can say are much better than this headset but... MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE.
