Kevin Murphy Color Bug (Purple)

I'd lusted after these for so long and the results were horrendous. Now, my skin was left a lovely shade of purple but my hair remained exactly the same colour regardless of how much i put on. And when it came to brushing my hair afterwards, purple dust went over everything within a 4ft area! I'm so disappointed as I thought I'd finally found a product that would allow me to change my hair regularly without the damage that continual dying brings. Giving it 1 star is me being generous.

I've been wanting to experiment with different hair colours for a while now, but since I have a job which dislikes vibrant colours in hair, I wanted to try something temporary before I tried something too drastic. I watched some youtube videos on how to dip dye your hair and the types of dyes used but since I have black/dark brown hair- I wasn't keen on bleaching my hair. Then a video popped up about this product. It automatically caught my attention and its results seemed promising. It even claimed to work on dark hair which sounded brilliant. I was anxious for the product to arrive so I could try it out. And I was left disappointed and most importantly ripped off. I tried just a small area of my hair after styling and I was just working it into my hair as instructed to do so. Then I looked down at my arm and the sink in the bathroom and it was covered in purple powder. Almost all of the colourbug had gone- JUST IN ONE ATTEMPT. It had gotten all over the floor too, even though I was careful during application- it stained the floor much to the annoyance of my parents. I wish I never purchased this product, it didn't live up to my expectations and with how expensive it is, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone- it's not worth the hassle, especially since the results weren't brilliant anyway.

My hairdresser offered to put it in my hair and I agreed. I am so happy I did!! However it did get on our hands but it easily rubbed off! Phew!! I loved the effect off it on my hair (I have light brown hair) and it did look like i had ombred it! I got lots of compliments so will definitely purchase it!! Washed out straight away!!! I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!! :D
