SlingStudio CameraLink - Wireless Video Connectivity with Rechargeable Battery

They cost a bit much, but I can't argue with the quality. They have never failed after a half dozen events I covered and are very simple to use. I can't subtract a star for price, because they paid for themselves in keeping me stress free when I record sporting events.

Good battery life. Keep going with a USB battery Brick like Kamishi. Out of nine of them since summer, I’ve only had one act weird and need a reset. Customer service walked me through the process. Four of them, I’ve had for over a year. We did have one line of site issue where a crowd 20 people deep blocked one of our CameraLinks and we lost signal from that camera. Throw your SlingStudio Hub high up on a c-stand and try to keep cameras above the crowd.

I have been looking at different options for years to stream video up to my Youtube channel (All required physical cabling). Once I saw the SlingStudio system come out I bought it right away. Has worked great with out any problems. Has great quality. Learned the system in minutes. Updates/upgrades happen over the internet via the MySlingStudio application. I would (and have) recommended that people buy this solution.

Our video producer company uses the Camera Link to make "lives" of singers, bands and comedians on the Internet, specially now with the social distancing requirements. We connect JVC and Black Magic cameras to it. Great equipment, we have three of them. Unfortunately, one failed a few days ago, after less than 6 months in use, and tech support says we need to return it for battery problems - the battery can't be replaced. Otherwise, we are happy with it.

Does what it says it should. We have four of them and we haven't had any problems with them. We have updated the software for them twice with no issues. Just plug it into the camera, turn it on, and sync it to the Hub using the software on the iPad. Quick, Simple, Reliable.

Beware, my two cameralink batteries wouldn't charge after 15 months. One went, then the other the next week. Light use, all in one location. Tried everything. Support couldnt help. Warranty is only 1 year. $700 bucks. Not a good investment.Be wary.

For sling studio of you want to use mirrorless or dslr cameras or pro camera you must get a few of these for multicam shoots. They are easy to use once you jam them with your Sling Studio.
