Philips Norelco HQ8 Spectra & Sensotec Shaver Replacement Heads

My husband is totally pleased with these replacement blades for his shaver - said it's like shaving with a brand new shaver. (worth the extra money)

I thought my old Norelco 8000 series was about done. The battery wouldn't hold a charge, the blades were worn out and I was going to buy a new Norelco.. Then I looked at the reviews of the newer Norelco models. Besides being overly expensive, every review I read said "NO". The new Norelco shavers are made in China and are junk. According to reviews, the 8000 series was the last good Norelco razor. I was able to purchase new blades and battery for my 20+ year old razor and it is perfect!

As others have written, no mention of "Norelco" on the product or packaging.I clicked to go to the Amazon "Norelco store" and paid more for genuine Norelco heads. I expected them to be delivered in genuine Norelco packaging as shown in the picture. But they are not, just plain plastic and cardboard with no writing.They do work well so far.

Many reviewers seem to think these are cheap knockoffs that don’t work. That was NOT my experience. They fit my 20 year old shaver perfectly and it shaves like new again. The box differed from the picture on Amazon, but the box they came in and the blades themselves seem genuine Norelco.

I paid extra to get Branded Norelco blades and got a generic set. They came in a blister pack not the branded Norelco packaging as shown in the advertisement. I think these are the CORABLADE SH50/52 which you can get for $13 at walmart. They seem to cut OK, but i'm giving low marks for falsely marketing Branded Norelco and sending out lesser generic. Don't buy these if you want Norelco OEM...

The HQ8 shaver heads fit perfect in my older 7800XL Noreclo shaver.How long they last remains to be determined.

I purchased and installed the new shaver heads and was amazed that they made no difference in the quality of my shave. I have used my shaver for several years with the original heads and had received at least one warning that recommended that I replace the heads - years ago. I used my shaver daily, have normal skin, and have a normal beard. From my experience, I wouldn't recommend replacing the heads unless you really have a noticable problem. Don't replace just because they are old. Replace when obviously broken and not functioning correctly.
