NLT Reflections Bible, Oceans Blue (Reflections Full Size) Hardcover – 1 Sept. 2016

I don't normally bother reviewing but there wasn't much information about this product so hopefully this will help someone.Ive had the NLT Inspire previously because it's my favourite translation but found myself looking for ways to cover up the artwork so I could make my own notes and art. Especially in the New Testament where it's on almost every page.So I am used to the paper on the Inspire, which is cream, and also feels thicker than the paper in this bible. Hence only four stars.The binding and quality of the cover is fine (I brought the brown imitation leather)The only thing I have done is test the different products I must use to check for bleed through. I will post a picture of that page and also the reverse. Nothing I normally use bleed through at all, and not much shadowing, just what you would expect from bible pages. The only thing that bled, and I knew it would, just used to show the contrast, was an ink Pilot V ball 0.7 - that bleeds through all bible pagesThe products I test were:Derwent Inktense Water-colour pencilsDistress MarkersBic biro (there was slight indentation as another reviewer mentioned but not noticeable to look at, only when I ran my fingers over the back of the page - nothing that would stop me using biro)Caron D'Ache NEOCOLOU IIUni pin fine liners 0.1, 0.3 & 0.5Uni-ball signo in white and gold ink.Finally it maybe useful to know that there is one card page at the front containing the 'presented to' info, blank on reverse as well as one blank card page at the back. The back also has 4 totally blank bible pages which would be great as test pages or for more art.There is also a one year bible reading plan at the back.Hope that helps someone.

Beautiful bible. The Bible is quite big and obviously very thick. Amazing quality and beautiful colour. Exactly the same as the image. I bought this as a gift and the person often reads it and loves that he can doodle or write what different passages mean to him. It makes the whole Bible reading/religious experience so much more powerful and personal. I would recommend to anyone who is religious or even if not it is a great bible to start reading.

gorgeous bible plenty of room to write. Pages are quite thin, so not suitable for highlighting. Pens don't tend to bleed through. NLT translation is written beautifully, thank you

This is such a lovely Bible - wide margins for notes / journaling and a beautiful colour. The pages are a little thin though so pen ink does bleed through.

Easy to use and understand - good bible even you're not English-speaking person. Love the color and design

So pleased with this Bible. Has room for notes and journaling. 8 font so big enough to read with ease. Love the colour too.
