Is this set similar to the advent calendars?

Not an advent calendar, but it does have a large number of minifigures - the largest amount I've seen in one set. So if you like the minis, this one's for you. Other small "Park" features here as well. Advent calendars have all small pieces as well but with windows that you can open as you count down days until Christmas.

Are any child size figures included… or just adults and 1 baby?

Boys, Girls as well as several ages of grandparents and other adults.
