Excellent suction cup - recommended
the original suction cup supplied with my dashcam, bought elsewhere, developed a split in the plastic moulding which meant that the suction cup wouldn't stay stuck on my rear windscreen. Had a look on Amazon and decided on this particular model, not the cheapest of what was available but decided it looked pretty solid - and so it has proved to be...so far. Appears to be a strong moulding and not likely to split. In order to ensure a good strong suction it is essential to FIRMLY press the cup onto the screen first, then clamp it - don't expect the cup to pull itself onto the screen with the clamp alone - I tried this method and it doesn't stick, however, if you press firmly first, then clamp, it stays put. Up until now some months after purchase it hasn't moved. I would highly recommend this suction cup.

Good versatile product but threaded bolt element was too short
[1] The suction power appears to be excellent, provided the unit is pressed hard against the windscreen before moving the "clamping lever" (as mentioned by other reviewers). In fact, it is so good that the user has to be careful when removing it (there is a plastic tab, on the sealing sheet, that needs to be pulled to release the seal, otherwise I would fear the sealing sheet could become damaged). Good suction is an essential feature if the owner is to be confident that the attached camera will not fall to the floor. This device is excellent in that regard.[2] The issue that I had was that the threaded bolt element (the part that screws into the dash camera) was too short for my camera. When fully screwed on, the camera pointed too far to the left (relative to the car driver's view). There was not adjustment mechanism for this, other than to partly unscrew the camera (and then secure the camera's position with a locking nut provided on the threaded bolt element. Ordinarily, that mechanism for adjustment would be fine. With my camera, however, that meant that the bolt was not securely attached to the camera - the thread within the threaded socket in the camera was relatively deep. Hence the product would have benefited from having a longer threaded bolt element. However this device might well work excellently with other cameras.[I was able to make it work by swapping the threaded bolt element from my old device (that had a broken suction unit) with the "too-short" bolt from my new purchase. I now have a fully functioning dashcam kit with which I am very pleased.

Would've, could've, should've
I bought this so that I could position my dash cam higher up on the windscreen of my car as this bracket allows more ways of angling the screw attachment. However the suction cup itself is very big and the angle in which I needed to rotate the attachment couldn't be done on this bracket.I would've returned it for a refund, but the cost of sending it back wouldn't really make it worthwhile given the low cost of this item anyway. So disappointed.

Dashcam
I only purchased this for 1 part of the whole thing, never tried the suction or anything on it, was happy that the part I did need fitted my one I already had

Didn't work
I know this was cheap. So I wasn't expecting it to be AMAZING. But it failed really on the main thing. Suction.I tried it on a variety of surfaces. But basically you push the suction cup down using the lever. It was secure in place. Come back 20 seconds later and the vaccum was gone and you could just lift the device up. And that's if I put the suction cup downwards. If i tried it vertically then it was even worse and just fall off.The other thing is the plastic screws, even when really tightened, weren't enough to be able to hold even a light device like a flash in place without it falling over.I returned it. Was pretty much useless.

Value for money
Brilliant product, fits my dash cam perfectly and really right in the window. Great value for money too compared to other prices.

looks like a decnt mounting
bought this to replace the mount that came with my dash cam that broke on the ball socket, i chose this one as the andle adjuster is not the ball joint type so should last longer...unfortunatley my lack of thread size knowledge let me down and the screw thread is too big to fit my dash cam so i cant test it..... havig said that it does look like a decent mounting for its price, geart angle adjustment options, just a shame it wont be any use for me

Seems good
It was received in good time and looks okay i havent had time to try it yet as I couldnt get it to stick to my dashboard as there isnt enough flat area on the dshboard for the sucker to locate. It does stick on the windscreen but I am not sure it is legal to place it there. Also, it has the standard fixing screw that fits onto the bottom of most cameras or their mounts.
