Built to last.
Solid piece of kit. Attached the supplied wires first to back of controller whilst resting it on dining table, then placed with train set up and attached wire ends to tracks. Works perfect.

Noise
First of all the noise. Then the cable length. Its so short it wont even reach the floor from the track.

Smooth responsive operation
This makes standard Hornby units look clunky and operates smoothly at all power levels. Oddly fiddly to wire its terminals but you only do this once. As others have noted it’s noisy but there are suggestions for dealing with this in other reviews.

Brilliant
First of all the build quality is awesome, you can tell it's made in the uk,unlike the cheap tacky Hornby controllers you get with train sets.its so easy to set up and works perfectly.if you got analouge railway this is a must buy ,you won't be disappointed

Has audible mains hum
Works well, but the mains hum is annoying - reduced by standing it on a styrene mat. Awkward to balance the controller upside down for fitting wires, and the entry-points are very small-gauge, adding to the difficulty.
