Fantastic Monitor
When looking for a monitor for my Macbook Pro 2016 13 inch, I went back & forth for a long time between getting a 4k or an ultrawide. I eventually bought both the LG UK850 27' and the BenQ 32ew3270u, which are both 4k monitors. Although the LG had better brightness and slightly crisper image due to higher PPI, I decided to keep the BenQ as I got used to the 32inch size and loved the extra space it provided. The 4k was very nice too, however once thing to consider when buying a 4k monitor - you will have to run it scaled, as even at 32 inches, native 4k is simply too small. The issue with running a 4k monitor scaled (on mac OS) is the "looks like 1080p" HiDPi option looks fantastic, but the UI is simply too big and it only gives you the same real estate as a 1080p monitor. When running the 'Looks like 1440' hidpi option the scaling had a noticeable performance hit on Mac OS and caused some lag, however it was still useableI then decided to try out this ultrawide due to it being on ultrawide - and wow - now I could not go back. One thing you do need to consider when buying this monitor however - especially if you are used to the 'Retina' displays of a Macbook Pro, iMac, LG 5k Ultrafine etc- this monitor does not have the high DPI (around the 220 mark) these monitors have - it has around 110. You will initially notice text is less sharp. This was initially a concern for me - and nearly led to me returning it. However, you get used to it very quickly, and the resolution is perfectly acceptable and actually very good. Another benefit is that as you can run the monitor at native resolution without any scaling - performance is fantastic.Another thing to note regarding this montior that I could not fund anything about online before purhcasing - the monitor supports 75hz in Mac OS with a displayport cable - no mods needed, however when i ran a frame-skipping test it showed dropped frames - so I do not use it. This is with a 2016 MBP with integrated graphics - i cannot comment on the 15 inch with the 560.But if you are on the fence about ultrawide or 4k - I would 100% recommend ultrawide.

Great Monitor!
I really do like this monitor. I use it for editing in Adobe Premiere from my XPS Laptop and Custom built PC. The extra space is much appreciated and watching widescreen content is lovely. Port selection is nice although HDMI to my laptop is a bit laggy. I wish the USB C had thunderbolt 3 compatibility.Operating the monitor with the joystick is a breeze. Genius idea.It colour accurate and after I calibrate it I can get it to be the same as my XPS 4K screen which is super handy for when I am colour grading. It looks great at wedding shows when I am displaying my wedding films to potential clients!!

Fairly good
Not as good as my Samsung monitor, the only thing it beats the Sammy is on colour repro, it is pretty good right out of the box, but you can tweak the Sammy and it looks awesome. The LG, loses out in pretty much every other aspect, particularly the finish, it just lacks that premium grade feel that my other monitors have and the edges of the screen look unfinished and rough, which did bother me at first. I work in a low light room for large parts of my day so it is not a huge problem as I cannot see the corners/edges in such light.Overall, a fairly good monitor, great for office work, love the extra space on ultra wides, plenty of ports on the back, the curve is too small though and the bezels are way way too big and LG throw a mean fisted 2Y warranty in, which is abysmal really. If you can get it at the right price, it is a great monitor, if it is full price, look for something sleeker and better finished and supported.

WOW - so much data on the screen - pricey, but awesome
WOW - the most I have spent on a monitor, but oh so worth it... am only using for work applications so cannot comment on gaming, streaming of films, DVDs, etc.The resolution is great and sound is actually pretty good for a monitor - I haven't even bothered connecting external speakers as sound is more than acceptable for work applications, online broadcasts, the odd youtube distraction etc.You can use it as one big monitor with one input, or can split the screen to display two inputs from different systems.I know it sounds obvious, but I can get so much more information displayed from one application such as Outlook, Excel, Project, etc without either toggling between different windows or dragging them to a different monitor.I still have 3 monitors, this monitor is my main monitor in the middle - you need a wide desk if you have more than this monitor active :-)Would definitely recommend.

A monitor that deserves to be on your desk.
I picked this up during the black friday/ cyber monday period and saved £300, so for me this was an absolute bargain. I'd wanted it for 6 months, but couldn't justify the expense to myself at the time. Having set it up and worked with it, now I realise it's absolutely worth the money. This will be the monitor I use for at least the next 3-5 years - it's incredible. The image is crystal and dynamic and the features available are simple and effective at dividing the screen into various sections, if you wish. For Gaming - Wow, your HUD is now well out of the way and you can see the whole world. For Video Production - Flexible allocation and fully supported by Open Broadcast software. A+For Browsing and Normal office use, no more screen switching or dragging from monitor to monitor - it all fits on here.Power and USB-C hub support built in - significantly reduces cable clutter!Honestly, I'm a huge fan of LG products, so this was always going to happen - but if you're not sure if you should get this or not, just consider that it's a plateau product - this is the standard now, if you want better, you'll have to wait years or spend a fortune. If you can get this on sale - do it :)
