This is an impressive basketball hoop ,very sturdy and it looks good. However in my case I need to return it as I ordered the wrong size! poor eyesight I"m afraid, so entirely my own fault. Never the less I would recommend it.As I had it erected then realized my mistake I But my friends who erected it for me thought it to be very good value and impressive. Linda Shropshire

Don't kid yourself, this is full size and heavy in the box. It was well packaged and went together with ease. It is easy to move around but a go back to the first bit, it is heavy, especially with the ballast in the base. I opted to fill the base with water as I didn't have any sand. This really does make it heavy to move around but the wheels work just fine and make it easy to move considering size and weight. We recently had very high winds and I forgot all about it. I had previously reminded myself that if there are high winds, I need to lay it down so as not to catch the wind with the huge backboard. Now having said all that, it was fine, stood up to a right battering overnight. I will try and stow it safely in future if there are high winds but it is really stable and above all else my daughter loves it. Highly recommended.

A good quality product for the money it cost. Not too tricky to assemble providing you have a socket set and a spanner (to hold the nuts on the other side). Assembly instructions are very basic, so it also requires a little bit of common sense too. I found I had to put a slide bend into the stand supports, in order to thread the final long screw into place, and had to clear a bit of plastic from the holes in the base - but it was all put together in about 30 minutes. Base can be filled with sand or water - but be sure to add anti-freeze if using water, or the base will split in the winter when the water freezes.The wheels on the base allow it to be moved around fairly easily even when full.Perfect size for my 8 year old, who is used to playing on full size courts, and I expect him to get at least a good four or five years out of it. Recommended at this price. You'd have to pay a lot more to get a better quality one.

Being in another lockdown, we decided we would love a basketball hoop to help keep myself and the teen entertained. First of all, the delivery came faster than stated so bonus there.The assembly- you definitely need TWO people. However me and the boy did it together well enough. It’s a bit time consuming to build but when it’s done, it’s such a feeling of accomplishment lol. The instructions are a little bit vague but usable and we got there.Once built, we filled the base with water (no access to sand) and that’s worked very well. However if you have a stormy night, I do suggest you lie it down if you can otherwise it will fall over with a big gust of high wind.The thing as a whole, we love it. Well made, lots of fun. You don’t have to have it full size, just make sure how tall you want it before fixing it together otherwise you will have to unbolt parts of it to shorten it down which will be a pain in the ass lol.I’d definitely recommend this!

My 9 year old son loves it. It gets him off the XBOX and out into the garden which is a bonus.Genuinely plays this at least 3 times a week and hasn’t got bored of it yet.

This basketball stand is of good quality. Sturdy solid metal pole. Polyurethane backboard and solid steel rim. Rim is full size and height can be adjusted to 3.05m, but in reality that is very high unless you're 7ft! Only one thing to be careful with: The handle that winds the pole up or down is pretty flimsy and must be "handled" (get it?) with care. Especially when you're coming towards the bottom stop and the top stop. Well worth the money though and much better made than some of its contemporaries. I'm even more impressed with the supplier, Big Game Hunters. I needed a missing part sent out and I also needed a new pole. They sent it out, no questions asked and were exceptionally helpful. We often forget that after sales is crucial, especially when buying online. Big Game Hunters were very good and I would definitely buy from them again. Go for it, just take care with the winding handle.

This was a present for our 9 year old son. He was delighted with it. We are very pleased with it overall as we were let down when trying to purchase an alternative from another supplier that never showed up despite two attempts to purchase it, but this BEE-BALL basket arrived quickly after ordering, the only downside being that the cardboard box it was supplied in was punctured by the metal inside the box, the result being that the innards were falling out of the box - otherwise we probably would have given it another star. Double skinned cardboard and / or some foam on the ends of the tubes might help going forward. It was supplied with assembly instructions - however I managed to lose them (derrrrr!!) but was still able to work out how to put it together using my engineering knowledge and the pictures posted on Amazon which were a great help. All the fixings were present and included a lawn spike. It's a simple design but it works very well and the height adjustment is very useful. Had great fun yesterday afternoon and today playing with it on the driveway!Update July 2019: So, here wa are 3 1/2 years on, so I thought I'd give an update. The unit has been left outside all the time so most of the fixings went rusty and the paint was looking very tired - so I took it all apart, got it blasted and powder coated and it looks as good as new. All the fixings were replaced with stainless stell or replated with zinc. So that all looks good. Unfortunately the backboard is now falling apart so I'm going to have to get that fixed with aluminium or UV resistant ABS sheet, but that should keep it going for at least another three years or more. I've also had to replace the net a few times as they seem to rot with UV exposure. However, we've had many, many hours of fun with it, so its worth the effort - but if you leave it outside 24/7/365 expect it to last 3 years before it needs refurbing or recycling.
