I Am Not Sleepy and I Will Not Go to Bed (Charlie and Lola)

Read these books when I was young and have now bought them for my child. Sadly the front cover is a newer design and not the old one that is pictured so this should be updated as I was a bit disappointed with the new style. Of course this doesn't take away from the fact that it's a fab book for younger children.

I bought this book for two of my four children as my girl aged 4 and my boy aged 1 1/2 enjoy the dvds.when I started reading it to them my older - 5 yr old boy enjoyed it also. It is similar to the dvd, id is good to read with children because there are lots of pictures for them to follow and the words are fun and at their level. Also my boy takes long to go to bed so ti is appropriate for him. I recommend it for all lovers of fun family time.

My kids love Charlie and Lola and these books are brilliant!

A great book for 4 year-olds. My daughter lovely it and wanted it every night. She's now 11 and I think I still know it word for word. Bought for my neice as part of her Christmas gift at the recommendation of my daughter. The story and the v pictures captivate a young childs mind

Total hit with our toddler, been reading this book so many times I think even my friends know it by heart. All her books are fun, but this one is the house favorite. I remember that someone asked me what I'd buy a book with this title, so I made them read it. :)

Love this book. It if fun to read to children and they love it. The reasons Lola thinks of for not being able to go to bed are far more innovative than anything I every thought of when I was young! Lauren Child is a brilliant writer who really understands children.

My 2 year old son loves Charlie and Lola and this is perfect for him as he doesn’t always love going to bed!

I purchased this book as a gift for my 2 year old niece who does not like going to sleep. It has quickly become a favorite of her’s as well as her parents! The illustrations are colorful and provide just enough stimulation before bedtime.Like Lola, my niece has an active imagination and going through Lola’s bedtime routine helps her learn to settle down at night. Such a cute & creative story I will definitely be purchasing more Charlie and Lola books!
