Quality lacking
We bought this a few weeks back and the first thing we noticed was the lack or instructions papers or any type of documentation. After a few uses ( no more than 5 uses) the handle broke off, which really disappointed me as i knew it was cheap but did not expect it to face issues that quickly. But having said that it was an intereting and fun experience making coffee using a claasic espresso maker.

Great coffee pot but arrived with a fault
My mum and brother enjoyed using pots like this and I decided to finally get one. Simple to use, good value, does the job. However only after some headaches and tinkering! Mine arrived with the pressure valve misthreaded so it wasn't fully tightened. Ad a result the pot didn't work, try as I might it wasn't building enough pressure to bring the coffee through into the chamber. It took a while to realise this must be the issue and I almost returned it. I posted a question asking for suggestions what the issue may be and would like to publicly thank John Steven English for his condescending and unhelpful answer suggesting I was basically just an idiot who couldn't work a simple coffee pot - there's no need for that. Next time a question is asked, John Steven English, if a smug insult is all you have to offer please don't bother answering! Anyway, I then got the tools out and forced the valve off and retreaded it properly, and it now works as it should.

Not as good as my cheapo Aldi moka pot!
The product seemed well-made to look at; however, it felt much lighter than my current 6-cup Aldi ‘Kirkton House’ pot, despite having a higher capacity. On filling up and screwing together, the connection grated as if it was metal-on-metal rather than a softer closure that would indicate the rubber gasket inside was being compressed - so maybe the manufacturer hasn’t used the right thickness gasket, or it is just poorly made.In use, it took several minutes to get steam up and the liquid didn’t flow up smoothly as it does with the Aldi model - it came up in spurts and didn’t even seem to boil all the liquid, even after being on a medium heat for 5-6 minutes at boiling point.Even after so much time the upper pouring section was only half full and provided enough liquid to make 2-3 cups of coffee, nowhere near 8 cups!Sadly, very poor performance by this product, which I am returning. Will have to wait for another Aldi Specialbuy to come up!

Good coffee maker
It is a good Mokka pot. It's made of aluminium so if you wash it in your dishwasher it will discolour. This does not matter but looks odd. So hand wash it as they advise. Personally think the quoted size is one cup too great but the question is "2oz cup" - filled to where - espresso is often delivered in a French or Italian cafe no more than half full. A measure quoted to the max fill line (the safety valve) would allow better direct comparison with competitors. And metric units would be nice too. Most of the world except USA use metric. Still a good Mokka put though and it pours well.

Very good
Just made my first cup with this and it was brilliant! Only neded the hob on number 3 and it was ready in no time at all (i did use hot water to start though) 3 teaspoons of fresh ground was enough for three very strong shots of coffee. Its well enough made but lacks the perfect finishing of a much more expensive version. Finish aside it works and looks great.

Very impressed fir the price.
Well I expected it to make good strong espresso and lots of it. It did just that. Nothing starts your day like 8 shots of espresso. I'm very happy with it and its actually easier to clean than I thought it would be.Update: 2 months in and the bottom part is rusting inside. I expect it a bit more for the money. You seriously don't want to see rust on something that is under pressure. After it cools down I always clean and dry it properly, and still it's rusting.
